Survey shows 74% of people believe news organizations are biased

www.digitaljournal.com

A new Pew Research Center survey of 1,506 respondents suggests the general public is losing confidence and trust in the mainstream media between both Democrats and Republicans, according to New York Times.
A total of 63 per cent of respondents believe news articles were mostly inaccurate, but only 29 per cent say the news media get the facts straight. The study further shows that 74 per cent believe news organizations have biased reporting and favor one side. The same amount also think special interests often influence news reports.

Though the article highlights politics, im pretty sure that its not limited to the politics side of the news. Im pretty sure we can all count the various topics that the MSM has swayed one way or another.

The sad thing is that no matter where we turn to there will always be some kind of bias.

Unless of course you get up and do the research yourself, which is how everyone should do it. Because a little research never killed anyone.

Here is the actual survey results. The article the OP linked to was inaccurate.

pewresearch.org...

The OP's article listed one of the options as "mostly inaccurate" and the other option was "get their facts straight" which creates a false dilemma. (50% accurate means they get their facts straight? I think not.) The actual survey shows that the question was "often inaccurate".

This survey just proves there are people who are hopelessly brainwashed. How could anyone think the MSM is unbiased, not influenced by powerful people or organizations, and rarely inaccurate? Who are these people?

And do you think the figure for the number of people who place their trust in polls like this one would be any higher?

There are very few things that people place ANY trust in post 911.

The press is not pro-left or pro-right. They're pro-govt and always have been.
