Just a quick intro thread to say hi from sheffield, been reading a bit but thought i'd join.

Just a few personal notes

I play squash, soccer & golf (H/C 22)

Massive SWFC (Sheffield Wednesday) - english soccer team in the championship

and i'm an IT geep profession wise specialising in unix oracle & SAP. I'm a SAP Basis admin !

I play raquetball, i have never been interested in squash if im honest, great sports both of them though.

As for football, im a LFC supporter. Your big derby is coming up soon though is it not?

Yup its the big sheffield derby this friday


7:45 K.O.

Been for the last couple of years, but as its on sky i'm not paying £30 this year to have bottles of piss thrown at me and running the gauntlet of sheffield after the event, with full riot police etc !

A few mates round to my gaff and some beers are in order !
I think some of our american friends would have a heart attack if they knew the antics of the police in the UK at sheffield derbies........

Mobile CCTV everywhere, hand held video cameras being used.

Mounted cops.

The time before last someone fired a flare at us from INSIDE the stadium......

And due to TV they are planning on showing this years at 7:45.

I know quite a few people who are having the afternoon off work to go drinking !

It could be 'intresting' on TV, and might equal the millwall hammers match !
