I saw this Zazi guy on TV this morning walking with his lawyer during a piece indicating he has stopped talking with LE. He was wearing a pristine looking "fresh out of the package" plaid shirt. Just the sort of thing politicians wear when they are trying to appeal to the "common people."

FBI just arrested one of the alleged terrorists and his father in Auroa, Colorado. This just happened 10:00 p.m. PST.

Naj Zazi looks like John Doe from the Oklahoma bombing a little. He would have been younger then. And his pals in NYC tried to rent a Uhaul on the 10th. Their targets suggest that Western lifestyle is an issue. Fashion week because there were no burkas? Stadiums because they don't like hotdogs? It's that simple. Wedding cake is the bomb, the wedding is the occasion, the time would be real time, the place would be coded also. But now the code words will be matched with computer information and yes, more arrests besides the father, uncles, brothers. They should arrest the clerics that tipped them off too!!! No diplomatic religious immunity for clerics, imams and those clergy who think they are holy. Lock them up!!! No Sharia Law allowed in the US!!!

But there is something unusual about this cell. Usually AQ cells have training of specific transportation modes. There are seperate operatives that are proficient in subway, those who are air transport, others who do boats, and those who do highway. This cell seems to be experts in social gatherings and entertainment. Seems that these guys are only mules on their way to someone who would assemble and deliver the destruction. Further, a nuclear blast could be anywhere and not at a fashion show or sporting event. So yes, there is more to it. What if these guys had a mission, were to hand off the goods thinking their job was complete, dirty material added by another higher authority cell, and then major destruction? Failsafe was the mules get caught, typical in border smuggling operation, while the head of the organization is still safe and insulated. Nuclear material still at large?!

Anti-terror raids conducted in New York City early Monday morning were part of an investigation into an Al Qaeda associate, law enforcement agents told FOXNews.com.

The Afghani resident, who has been living in the Midwest, has been under federal surveillance and is believed to have visited over the weekend more than one of the Flushing, Queens residences searched by Joint Terrorism Task Force agents, the sources said.

Sen. Charles Schumer, D-N.Y., who was briefed by FBI officials, said he couldn't discuss much of the case because many of the details were still classified. "There was nothing imminent, and they are very good now at tracking potentially dangerous actions and this was preventive," Schumer said. He added that the law enforcement action was unrelated to President Barack Obama's visit Monday to New York.

I wonder if the invesigators are allowed to talk to each other, or if they "couldn't discuss much of the case because many of the details were still classified..."

This is growing by the day. No surprise really. Just waiting for the crescendo.

The terror warnings have expanded beyond mass transit systems to include stadiums, hotels and entertainment complexes. The FBI is also conducting raids on storage lockers and is asking for authorities to be on the lookout for suspicious activity.

We have the UN meeting and the G20 summit all coming to head at the same time.

Meanwhile the nation is distracted by the imaginary race war concerning the color of Obama's skin. Oh and of course the healthcare distraction, Afghanistan, Iran, Israel. Plenty of distractions are at play here and where is Obama? He is getting an ego massage from Letterman. Just a little lower Dave... That's the spot...Dont stop Dave...

I'm surprised that Obama didn't attend the recent Emmy award ceremony. I am sure he watched it on TV though. He just had to see which celebrities talked about him.

My only question is, what took AQ so long? I have long wondered why they hadn't chosen to launch attacks that may be somewhat smaller in scope than 9/11 and yet would likely achieve an even more chilling effect on this country.

To me, multiple attacks in public venues (stadiums and malls may yield maximum fallout) spread across the country over the course of a few hours or even a few days. The number of dead would not be in the thousands but, unlike 9/11 which was contained to two theaters of operation (NYC, DC), something like I describe would cause widespread panic.

You don't believe me? Have you ever discussed 9/11 with someone from the West Coast or South? While they were certainly affected by the attacks, the depth of emotional scarring is exponentially deeper for those in the cities that were attacked and immediate outlying areas.

I am not too, too concerned because we have heard these types of warnings before and I am sure they are being issued out of an abundance of caution. Still, I'm not totally at ease either.

I understand the 7 Phases concept but it is possible that the timeline was moved up. Things change. There is nothing concrete when it comes to Islamic Fundamentalist Terror attacks.

The other possibility is, and this is highly likely in my opinion, that this cell is part of a splinter network who have planned and are to execute this attack on their own without direct involvement from AQ Central command.

AQ is as much an ideology as it is an organization.

If AQ moved the date up it was possibly because they were forced to.
They would never go rogue. They have their orders and the importance of unity is part of their ideology.
Even the Beltway snipers, VT killer, Moussoui, the kid that drove an SUV into a college campus courtyard all had orders from a higher authority. That's what the FBI and NYC police aren't understanding now.

Yesterday they said hotels, stadiums from gleaned material that said "entertainment and sin"... which was translated poorly. Who is doing their translations? This has turned into a big joke and the FBI looks silly.

I have had dream since 9-11 that are now playing out as they happened in my dreams, a family member even worked in a large city (she at the time did not). I am a normal dude, I do not think anything of it. I have never warned my parents ever to not go into work. I made my mom stay home this 9/11 as she now worked in the city, who takes the train, because I started having the dream again a week in advance. I am freaked out due to all this. I dont care if you think anyone could have guessed. I NEVER EVER warned them of my dreams for 8 years until this year.

Second dream I had after 9-11 was MASSIVE and i mean MASSIVE explosion in my city (as I looked in driving away in my rear view mirror) hearing the same explosions occurred in a few other cities on the radio. this was before I knew anything about the so called american hiroshima.

I could care less what anyone says. I am a normal dude I and i HATE this website. The dreams played out so far and I met a muslim who said to my face he hopes I am not killed after he learned what city I am from
