Why are conspiracy sites under attack ?

Well on friday i could not get on to ATS and there is two more sites that i got that i am having problems with.
This one www.rense.com... keeps getting attacked this is what they put on there front page.

Rense.com's server was attacked again.
We regret the inconvenience and are operating slightly behind normal

And the over one i goto The truth seeker i have no been able to get on there for a long time i got the same message as above for this site when it was up.

As nobody else has mentioned it really and there's been no official word... i thought it was just me who couldn't get onto ATS on friday?

Was down for about 4 hrs for me?

Strange.

The obvious question is why is ATS not under attack since its the largest conspiracy site.

Than again, those guys on the other sites could be lying about being attacked. Perhaps their servers just fail because they arent good enough.

Maybe all these sites have already been hijacked by TBTB for monitoring and all who visit these sites will be on the domestic terrorist list to be rouned up after the next staged terror attack?

Well...Either that or they just cant stand mis/dis info sites (Rence is a junkyard at best lol) and like to annoy them.

Depends on what's on the sites. You can go on Craigslist and get a 15.00/hr job just by promoting (online) Obamas issues. I think there is even a thread here about that.

On ATS both sides are pretty equal, as far as I can see, and not a target for attack.

Hi all its not directly related to sites attack as to personal attack
yesterday on youtube a guy nicknamed Ciasucka posted 1 wierd video (he subbed my channel thats why i checked him out). i watched and it was all hexadecimal and 1 other (wich i dont get at all) messages ... so i ignored it as who the hell would type in all this mumbo jumbo by hand into translator.

I just woke up tooday and there is another and this one is DIRECTLY a threat to freedominfonetwork

I don't think there was any "attack" on ATS at any time on Friday. Our contract tech support team did uncover some "upstream" networking issues between major Internet networks that caused some temporary domain name resolution issues. In other words, if ATS is on carrier "C," carrier "D" in the UK temporarily forgot that.


Yesterday's high hit-rate encounter from what looks to be a compromised server at a Korean ISP may not have been specifically targeted at ATS. The nature of the attack was a very typical flood of attempts to find scripting errors in our PHP methods (looking for ways to force unwanted variables or commands into our code). It's very common for all servers to encounter these types of attacks, and it did appear to be running the full sequence of all the known exploit types.

The reason the log file ballooned so huge is actually a bit of my fault -- my code had accidentally recorded the output result of each exploit attempt... storing the HTML of thousands of ATS pages in the log file (oops!). It was relatively old code, and was mostly forgotten (and unnecessary given the monitoring of our IT firm), the file was probably getting somewhat large for some time, and Sunday's automated exploit search sent it over the top.

(The above scenario is very similar to a biological virus attempting to jump hosts and multiply -- seek out other servers. This is why I think ATS was not specifically a target.)


Everyone needs to remember that all web servers connected to the Internet are under constant "attack" in one way or another. The quality of the server security determines whether or not service is affected by the attacks. I'm actually quite pleased that despite a high-volume exploit search (hitting hundreds of ATS pages a minute), our performance seemed unaffected.

Everyone also needs to keep in mind that when a server naturally encounters performance issues -- which can happen often if poorly maintained -- lazy IT managers often blame "attacks" rather than admit slipshod server management.

The truth seeker was under attack alot before it disappeared it's been down for a wile can not remember how long to be honest.
There has been no word to why it's down.
Could not get on to ATS until nighttime in uk on friday.

There was so much chatter yesterday about issues, I knew you would come through somewhere with an explanation/comments. People really freak over the slightest problem with our ATS, don't they. Widespread freaking.

This is neither here nor there, but the problems I've had recently I have been able to correlate with clicking on links to YouTube vids. I'm going to steer clear of there for a while. They are the ones with issues I do believe.

In a dark world full of lies, the truth just doesnt fit in.
