Illegals will still get medical care just like they do now. Hospitals cannot turn anyone away from emergency rooms and that is where the illegals go for all their medical care.

As I stated on the last page. Wal-Mart's across the country will soon start having hospital based walk-in clinics inside, much like the eye care center or Papa Murphy's Pizza!

Who do you think will take advantage of these? The goal is to drive people to these clinics for non-emergency situations instead of the ER.

He said two words. Big deal. Was it rude? Yes, but its not like he shouted Obama down and wouldn't let him speak.

Honestly, reading some of these posts, you'd think that Wilson committed blasphemy with his remark.

How come nobody ever gets it.

Same crap different year.

You libral people will be the death of us yet.

How about we just give you a few states and you leave us alone.

I don't want the Govt or anyone else telling me or my family how to live.

Get out of my life and my business.

Get out of my money.

Regulate like you are suppose to.

Kill the enemies, then come home.

This Govt has gone Rogue.

Three major things for them to do.

Regulate our money. They handed that off to the International Banking cartel in 1913 and don't even give themselves the power to check the books. Stupid.....................Corupt........................

Regulate Commerce between the states. Big business and corruption all the way on this one. Lobbyist running around stuffing pockets and getting their way. Monoply laws are not being used and or adjusted to keep the size of companies controllable. The term "To Big to Fail", should not even exist. Changes need to happen and "The People" get side tracked too much.
This was suppose to get fixed last year with the TARP Bailout. Remember?

Protect the states from enemies foreign and domestic. They had it right in WWII. Since then, I don't remember someone attacking us when we were not in there space so to speak.
Get the hell out of the rest of the world, and let them fend for themselves.
If it could spread to us in the long term, like Hitler would have, then by all means go blow Sh@t up. Until then, stay home and keep the boarder secure.

Anything beyond this is just a Nanny state.

Where are you hearing about these Walmart clinics?

I heard on GMA a little while ago that the congressman's opponent has received approx. 100K in campaign donations overnight, so this outburst may cost this guy his job. He doesn't deserve that. Not with all the crooks in politics getting away with real crimes.

I am amazed at the outburst from South Carolina Republican Rep. Joe Wilson. In a time when we need bi-partisan support from both sides, it is clear that some republicans are simply going to dig in and continue to be part of the "party of no".

[

The ONLY time the dems want "bi-partisanship" is when they need the votes to push "their" agenda. I'm not a Republican, but you can consider as a part of the party of "NO".

This government can not even run a cash for clunkers program effectively, how could you even consider letting them run healthcare? No, no no!

If the dems want support - they should begin by TELLING THE TRUTH!

This Dem Congress and Dem Administration represent all that is wrong with our government, put down the kool aid and research 3rd party alternatives.

While I lean more in support of our new President (at least compared to those spewing rhetoric about socialism, the birthers or those constantly posting anti-Obama propaganda daily), I still disagree with much of what he's aligned himself with.

Having said that, I don't think he's been given enough time to accomplish anything he's proposed in his run for the Presidency. It's much too early to even attempt to label his effort while in office as a failure, as many have already done.

In all honesty, I'd wish they'd drop this whole Gov.-run health care crap and actually REFORM the current health care system with price caps and extended coverage for people who really need it. If the government needs to get involved in health care - it's needs to be in an oversight method of regulation. A government plan will only make things worse by keeping costs high despite including those who were not able to secure a health care plan before, in my opinion.

Anyway, back on to topic: I applaud the congressman who spoke out. I'm glad someone had the balls to call him out in front of the ENTIRE NATION. We need more of this. If you know someone is purposefully being dishonest or concealing the whole truth when speaking in an official manner - CALL HIM OUT. Otherwise the lies and deceit that have infested our "democracy" will continue on it's path of total disregard for the common man and pursue it's benefits for big business and corporations, as it's done for the last 50 years.

After reading through this thread as well as a bunch of online news sites this morning, one thing leaped out at me; No one is really talking about the context of the speech. It seems the Democrats would rather lash out than talk about their plan.

Personally, I think what was said was very appropriate but I feel that doing it in that specific setting was not.

I was actually enjoying the speech until he started blaming Bush (how long until he gets over that and starts accepting responsibility?) and talking about mandatory coverage just like auto insurance.

This bill describes the legislation. Enforcement OF ANY BILL is a different issue. There are people who make the laws and people who enforce the law.

It seems some would rather live in a nation, whose hospitals DID turn away sick people.

He made it up. Like about 3/4 of the other crap that's going around about this bill.

I agree with you! But what Obama said wasn't a lie. No one will be covered by this legislation except for those lawfully present in the US. It's right in the bill.

As much dislike as I have for the state, if they did secede from the Union, I'd probably move there. There's little chance they'd be able to raise an army large enough to continue the Imperialistic agenda of "nation-building" that the U.S. has pursued for years. That's the most important thing to me.

Fix that and you fix most of the problems for the country. All these problems about the economy and health care would eventually, with time, be taken care of with the TRILLIONS of dollars we save from propping up de facto regimes in countries half way around the world.

They say this is the first time this has ever happened, a congressman yelling out at the Prez. Hopefully he started something. I am thinking back to the founding fathers, I am sure there was plenty of "calling out" during those days.

I think it is indicative that our current form of govt. is no longer of the people by the people and for the people and the fact the congressman immediately put his tail between his legs and apologized proves it.

If you say so. I haven't read the bill so I can't say for sure whether it does or doesn't.
I'll take your word for it.

But, my initial point still stands - call our the liars and thieves and we're well on our way to reform. When these criminals can't get away with sliding in pork-legislation into a bill that's being passed or else they won't get elected, then we start to deteriorate the control that lobbyists have on our congress.

So why make it a big deal to mention this as one of the key points of what you want in a plan if there is nothing in the plan with which to enforce it, unless you make it a talking point strictly to gain support for your plan because that's what the polls show Americans want.

As the quote I posted stated, it's a moot claim and holds no merit whatsoever.

Based on this logic, we can craft a bill that says everyone in America is going to get $5000, but if there is nothing in the bill to enforce it, then it's moot.

The simple truth is that any health care reform will not penalize nor turn away any illegal. To bring this up as a major point that your bill doesn't provide for these people is in fact a lie.

The Federal Government has NO BUSINESS even considering ANY bill for Health care for the sovereign people!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Stay out of my home and my personal business and I won't have to use my gun on you.....that is a statement to the federal government.

If anyone here can show me anywhere in the Constitution where the U.S. Government has ANY enumerated power to interfere with my personal well being, please feel free to show me.

I believe I made my point. Stupid should be deadly, if you don't know how to take care of yourself or your family, you should perish.
