Netanyahu secretly visited Russia: reports

www.reuters.com

JERUSALEM (Reuters) - Israeli media reports said on Wednesday Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu secretly visited Moscow on Monday in a bid to dissuade Russia from selling weapons to Iran.
In Moscow, a spokesman for Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin denied the reports.

A spokesman for Netanyahu said he had visited a security installation in Israel, reiterating a statement issued by his office on Monday amid media speculation about his whereabouts.

Israel sure has been having a lot of meetings with the Russians lately. It's almost as if since the election of Obama, Israel has made a policy of switching its American diplomatic push to a Russian diplomatic push.

Looks to be trouble for Iran, If you ask me. If Israel convinces Russia that it doesn't want to attack Iran...Russia will stop sending the monthly military munitions catalog to Iran and reduce the generous credit line.

Iran...a country that obviously requires conflict to exist will find it far more difficult to develop its own weapons systems, than it was to simply reverse-engineer and modify Russian equipment technology.

"Iran...a country that obviously requires conflict to exist" have you been living under a rock for the past 30 years? I think you meant to say Israel in that sentence.

Israel is trying to convince Russia to stop having Iran as its Steward in the middle east.

I doubt Israel will succeed, but if they do Iran will most likely retaliate against Israel.

Bad Mojo, bad.

What about the recent issue of the ship????????

People are still falling all over themselves trying to say that the missing ship was not carrying missiles for Iran.

Get real people!

So its ok when Israel sells weapons to Gergia and then Georgia turns around and uses those weapons on civillians in S Ossetia. But when another country sells weapons to enemies of Israel thats a no no? Israel is just a getting a taste of its own medicine and they dont like it.

Oddly enough...back in the 90s it did seem that it was Israel that required a constant state of conflict and friction to survive, but all that has happened over the last 8 years has led me to conclude that my impressions at the time were due to an illusion, of exceptional quality, that I'd been subjected to.

Now...I can see that it is clearly Iran who will be diminished if a disengagement occurs and who is clearly responsible for the current state of uncertainty and volatility in the region.

To be fair...I have left open the possibility that it is both Iran and Israel working together as friends and lovers to create all this noise. But that would be absolutely diabolical.

I am not saying Iran is this peace full nation being picked on by everybody. They could be working together to create conflict, after all i remember reading Edmund de Rothschild saying the they make more in one day of war and in a 1 year of peace and these people are behind almost every nation on earth. Ironically Iran is one of i think 3 nations that does not have a central bank. I think these people are definitely behind Israel and United States and so its not surprising that these nations are involved in almost all conflicts on the planet right now.

According to Russian sources Georgians used Grad systems on Tshinvalli. Clearly Israel sold them. And also those evil Israels sold same weapons to Russian federations for use on civilians in Chechnya. Evil, pure evil. how could they ....
On the other hand South Ossetian forces did not recieve a single piece of military equipment from Russia. Artillery they used to fire (or return fire, whatever) on Georgians was also Israeli.

What I am starting to think is that Israel and I suppose Judaism in general is not as monolithic as it is widely portrayed and instead heavily fragmented beneath the surface. These factions are currently at war. So it's not that Israel is providing both sides with weapons so that they can fight one another and Israel sits back and collects the profit, as much as it is factions within Israel fighting one another through proxies in various places.

I figure that would probably identify Netanyahu as possibly being a part of the Russian/South Ossetia clique while Tzipi Livni is a part of the Saakashvili/Georgian/Iranian/Hamas faction. I think Israel is hiding its non-homogeneity by focusing its foreign policy statements on Iran and not revealing the deep fissures that exist within the idea of Israel. I suppose it also hides the fact that Livni would just as soon see the idea of Israel die and move elsewhere.

I suppose support for South Ossetia's cause is hidden support for Bibi's Israeli government and some don't even realize it.

Fire and return fire are two different things. Its a fact that gergia started the war in s ossetia. The training they recieved were from united states and israel. The weapons they recieved were from united states and israel and maybe ukraine. This whole thing touched me on a personal level I am russian but was born in ukraine and a lot of my friends are georgians. As far as Chechnay goes if you ever visit Grozni, capital of Chechnya you will find out what kind of people chechens are. They make Alqueda look like boy scouts belive me.

There are 3 different things: Judaism, Zionism and Israelites or Semites.
