THE Prime Minister's website has been hacked into in protest over proposed reforms of internet censorship....
A message posted on the Inquisitor website by the hacker, known as Anonymous, stated that the action was in response to a Federal Government proposal to introduce mandatory internet filtering.....
The posting complains that the proposal to introduce internet filtering would block legal content, and take censorship to levels like that seen in China.
The posting, titled "Anonymous vs the Australian Government", also gives a blow-by-blow account of the hacker's progress.
You know I can think of several ways of protesting this internet censorship plan and hacking the government website for it isn't one of them.
How you guys get from hacking to censorship is beyond me.

If implementing this filter will slow down our internet speeds by as much as 70% as they say ( even it is only by 40% ) I can't see how anyone, especially ISP's will stand for this...???
They will basically take us back to 128 ISDN style speeds...
Our internet is already too expensive, and not up to par with other 1st world nations speeds / prices..
Yet we will be expected to PAY MORE to cover the costs of this filter..
Unless they can find a way of implementing the filter without affecting speeds AT ALL, none whatsoever...then it won't be implemented..
Mr Conroy will commit career suicide if he goes through with this
