day laborers by day, criminals by night ?

Over the years I have heard several stories circulated here on Long Island about "day laborers" (aka illegal immigrants) who do manual labor as painters, roofers, gardeners, etc by day to case out homes and any possible security systems and the security measures taken by homeowners as sort of a reconnaissance mission before they later return at night and rob the home in a home invasion.

Anyone hear similar stories or have actual proof of this occurring?

did you know that Illegal immigrants are the most patriotic americans?
because they don't pay income tax
