LONDON – Three British Muslims were convicted Monday of plotting to murder thousands by downing at least seven airliners bound for the U.S. and Canada in what was intended as the largest terrorist attack since Sept. 11.

A jury at a London court found Abdulla Ahmed Ali, 28, Assad Sarwar, 29, and Tanvir Hussain, 28, guilty of conspiracy to murder by detonating explosives on aircraft while they were in-flight.

Four other alleged conspirators — whom the prosecution said were to have smuggled liquid explosives onboard jetliners disguised as soft drinks — were acquitted of conspiring to

"Their arrests led to travel chaos as hundreds of jetliners were grounded across Europe. Discovery of the plot also triggered changes to airport security, including new restrictions on the amount of liquids and gels passengers can take onto flights.

Prosecutors said suspects had identified seven specific flights from London's Heathrow airport to New York, Washington, Chicago, San Francisco, Toronto and Montreal, as their targets.

British authorities estimate that, if successful, around 2,000 passengers would have died. If bombs were detonated over U.S. and Canadian cities, hundreds more would have been killed on the ground.

Plotters planned to assemble bombs in airplane toilets using hydrogen peroxide-based explosives injected into soda bottles."

Oooow, c'mon guys! Have you no sense of reality?

They found some people with "liquids" and a few circuitboards entering a plane and just came up with the idea that these guys were serious and planning to blow up a plane or two with an IED...

How long have you been on ATS, three days?

Having watched a video of one of the convicted just prior to this attempted bombing, where he said he would love to come back and do it again as the West must learn it cannot mess with Islam I have no reason to not believe these men had murder and mayhem on their agenda.

What is worrying is that they are British born and university educated.

They admitted to planning and plotting to carry this out on video, unless of course actors who happened to be doubles were used.

So what your saying is that these three men were convicted on no evidence and no statements and no proof, I think the word missing is "INTENT" did not matter they were crazy terrorists.. They got caught and convicted and now must do time, simple

You must learn that not everything has to have a conspiracy behind it.They caught people that where about to blow up a plane, and thats that.

Actually there is a lot more to it than just conspiracy. Lately there has been a stink reguarding the toilets on planes. Which I read that the "alleged highhackers" have allegedly determined to use "airplane toilets"

I have much research to do, but in light of todays news I am taking a more serious look.

The FAA has been at the heart of the conspiracy with the Federal Government all along.

*yawn* the British tabloids are getting evern more easier to predict everyday, with September 11th just a few days away and 9/11 all on TV portraying Muslims as "Evil Terorists" (11 out of the 13 Hijackers incidentally are STILL alive according to the latest CIA investigation), its no wonder they get fed up of the bad press they get.
A shame they cant focus on REAL issues like asking the Government why they let the accused Manchester bombers free, just 4 months after framing them for plotting to blow up the City. Where was the explosives they were going to use just 2 days before they got arrested?

Trust me this is real.

They are just laying down the groundwork to the MSM.

Its just another money-making scheme by inducing fear from the fact that anyone carrying Water or Coca Cola cans are now in the eyes of Security a Terrorist risk. What alternative do they have? to buy the drinks onboard, and on a long-haul flight with 200+ passengers thats a lot of cash for the Airlines to make for a bit of "inconvenience" from this Security false-flag.
