To get the person banned who made some lame video with Elmo and that Ricky guy and some evil pig...who cares?

What the hell are you going on about?
Who said anything about trying to get him banned?
*Looks around for mysterious evil banner* lol.

As for *leaving him or her alone*?
If he wanted to be left alone he wouldn't have posted on You Tube, have a Blog, a Face Book and Twitter, now would he...

*chuckles and walks away with nothing left to say...*

*********************
Now, in bringing this post back to Topic...

The subliminals and the intent behind them is what really interests me at the moment.

I'd love to see the video remade, with *happy* subliminals, and *happy* music, and see what changed it evokes in people who watch it.

Would be interesting to see... Who knows, maybe we'll get to...

peace

It's just a creepy video, but this is the year 2009, ever go see a horror movie? Geez......

No video, no horror flick, no freak out NIN vid or strange creature whining in a pile of doo effects me.

This video did.

That’s the point of the thread.

Why, do some videos effect the way they do, and some do not.

Many people have been effected in a negative way by this video - If you’re not one of them, thank you for the input, but, leave off the mocking.

Added that subliminal photos were found after the thread began, it’s obviously become an interesting piece of work.

The real question is, how does a thread dedicated to dissecting a random youtube video get on the front page of a conspiracy site like ATS? I'm ashamed, really.

There is no subliminal messaging here IMO, maybe you haven't heard, people have been circulating silly elmo videos for literally almost 10 years, big deal, someone spliced some sesame street footage w/ a guy in a pig suit and threw in some CLEARLY noticeable stills at the beginning. That shouldn't indicate nefarious activity or make you scared...

To make all that worse, some of you all seemed to imply that this may actually be an un-edited clip from the childrens show...really? I know TV is horrid now days and I believe in subliminals but ffs people, come on! If this clip was unedited than your post would be totally justified and I wouldn't be typing right now.

PS - Of course the friggin pig looks evil, look at his teeth!

I watched the video, and didn't feel anything out of the ordinary. Maybe because I've seen far more disturbing things. Only thing came to mind was "I gotta have that pig costume for Halloween, It's awesome!".

Downloaded the video and looked at it in After Effects to see the different individual pics that flash at start and there are about 6-7 pictures of baby pigs (the cute type akin to lolcat) the last is the roasted pig. Converting the video now to open the whole thing in photoshop by frame to see if anything lies in the rest of the video.

www.imdb.com...
Le Cochon Danseur (The Dancing Pig), French 1907.

I'm fascinated with the subliminal imagery being discussed in this thread, but to go waaaayyyy back to the OP's original question, no, I'm not finding any of this evil or disturbing. I've commented a little on ATS about how my background and upbringing was very old school, country redneck. I grew up doing alot of things *most* kids did 100 ago, but which *most* kids today find completely alien and even "disturbing." An example is I help butcher hogs (among other things) every fall. It was what it was, and it never bothered me. I've seen full grown men get completely grossed out and lose their breakfast watching/helping their first time butchering something.

The average American today has almost no concept of how food gets from the hoof to their dinner table, they have lost the connection man once had with their food. The same fact would hold true about crops and produce. I remember as a kid we always had caterpillars in the ears of corn, you'd shuck the ears and then whack off the eaten end down to where the still good kernels were. I've noticed that they use so much pesticide on crops commercially sold now that you don't see caterpiller eaten ears in the stores anymore... but go to an organic farmers market and stand near the corn. Watch how many adults (let alone kids) comment on how disgusting the corn is and how they couldn't eat that... also notice it's mostly older people or "hicks" (like myself) that gladly buy that corn, because we still have a connection with our food.

I may be way the hell off from what the person responsible for this video was trying to tell people (in fact, I almost guarantee that I am way off), but at least to me it's a lesson in just how disconnected people have grown. This very thread is a testament to a bunch of people who most likely have never butchered a hog in their life nor would ever want to, expressing shock over images that to me are no big deal whatsoever.

I am going to go ahead and offer my opinion. It is a doozy, but it is what, upon seeing this video, flows from me in a rapid stream-of-consciousness. I know there are run-on sentences, etc., but I think this captures the perspectives that well up in me during and after watching and seeing and quickly reflecting upon this video.

This video is definitely a creator of cognitive dissonance. It is on one level very disturbing in its implications, at least from my perspective. The sounds repeat almost like an unwinding and recoiling effect. It is like the sounds converge in a black hole, sinking down and down with greater intensity approaching a single infinitesimal point, but never seeming to touch, just fading around.

The humaneque pig, dancing mindlessly, lost in an infinite loop of meaningless repetitive dance, is an extremely gross affront to our sensibilities. The pig is not the captain of its own free will, but rather subject to the ostensible whims of another, another not necessarily perceived, but something other nonetheless, because the pig sure as heaven is not in control. The anthropomorphic aspect of the pig leads us to at least halfheartedly glance at one of our greatest latent fears, that we are nothing but mere beasts, subject only to the Pavlovian response, a higher being trapped in the cyclical idiocy of a beastly nature. The ouroboros continually swallows us; it judges us, because we have judged others. It lets selfish destruction wreak havoc, because we as people are allowed to project our demons upon the world, to spread and coalesce into larger, more powerful, more encompassing demons. It does not show mercy, because we have not forgiven ourselves. Being not a judge of the very being of another, forgiving others, knowing that we likewise forgive ourselves as well, and stomping on that projector that places all of the shadows we refuse to face onto another: These things all allow ourselves to throw off the blind spiritual programming shackles that naturally give birth to a whole form, a whole form that is quite ironically a perfect projection of the corrupt spiritual essence that has thrived in its cannabilistic state for so long, being fed by the division, the mutual domination and manipulation of the multitudes, working hand in hand.

Edit: Although there are many subliminals, a few of the subliminals are so obvious that I am going to present the following perspective. Don't worry. I will present another.

All that being said, I am inclined to take the video two ways. One, it does seem rather garish in its display of "subliminals." They could in fact be seen as not in the least bit subliminal, as it seems to me as if you blended every exploitative subliminal into one thing, you would get something not unlike the disturbing nature of this clip. So, in this view, this video acts as a shocker, a slap to the face, to get people to actually be aware of key psychological/mental/spiritual components that easily bleed out to color the entire canvas of their lives.

In taking it my other way, it can be seen as the creation of a haughty, oblivious-to-the-very-concept-of-other-beings, master sort of mentality. This is a perspective that gains lots and lots of perverse delight from keeping others (viewed to this type as nameless threats to be thwarted and robbed of their potential) in a lowly position; it is one who defines himself or herself to the extent that he or she denies others. Perhaps a creator of this sort would not only create this video out of lust for a sadistic Pavlovian response, but out of fear that the fear game resulting from individual belief in a false image, and all its many memetic offspring, is coming to a close very soon. Desperation leads to sloppy work.

Third take: What we see in it is relevant to our development in some way, at least in the moments that we seek holistic self-development. But what we see is certainly not confined to the area of our own self-relevance, but it also has implications in the greater picture, as what we all see colors our world, in any which way, shape, or form.

So, there is my take. Take it to whatever extent that you WILL, OR ignore it altogether, if that is what you WILL. It is our choice to see in it what we see. I know I saw a lot, and I read both between the lines and within myself, but I do think I might have struck a few chords as to why this video seems disturbing.

BTW, the dancing pig reminds me of certain dancing Disney characters. Not necessarily anything more or less with regards to this remark.

I don't think there is anything subliminal here.
Usually a pig in a suit and top hat represents fat greedy rich men, prob has something to do with the show

Wycky and JKerste - Did you read the whole thread?

Because if you did, you'd see, for a fact, there are subliminal messages and photos all throughout the video,

Enough said.

Beyond that, this is the psychology section, and many people have had a negative reaction to this video, thus sparking the conversation comparing one man's evil perception - to another's.

This very thread is a testament to a bunch of people who most likely have never butchered a hog in their life nor would ever want to, expressing shock over images that to me are no big deal whatsoever.

Ok, I understand your point, and, it’s a valid one.

In my case however, well, let me let my photos do the talking.

Below is a quote of a thread of mine I posted earlier today.

You see, I raise my livestock from babies, and, when the time comes, I end their lives in a humane way, then, do all the butchering myself.

I take anything I eat (within reason) from *cradle to grave*.

I’m not a hypocrite that bemoans the fate of animals while wearing a leather vest and munching on a hot dog. No, I do my best not to eat meat I have not had hands on processing.

It's my respect for the animal, the meat, etc.

BUT - THAT BEING SAID - This video disturbs me to my core.

Here are pics of my earlier post today - in another thread. You’ll see what I mean.

**********
For me?
I will not stop eating meat.
But, I will take the responsibility that comes with eating meat.

These are my *boys* from last year. I raise these babies from, well babies. A couple day old hatchlings.

They have a life, like you wouldn’t believe. Then comes the day, when they’re old enough and weighty enough, that we *go for a walk*.

And they never know what hit them. Of course I cry like a baby, but, it’s all a part of life, and, my respect for it.

I try not to throw away any part of the bird - even down to cooking innards, feet, heads, the *doodles* on top of the head, etc.
I don’t eat the head part but a neighbor of mine almost swoons every time I take her a plate of my *extras*.

So, here’s the boys.

In my opinion if more people could do this - they’d understand the *circle*. We raise them and love them and give them the best life we can - and then - they give back to us.

If you’re squeamish don’t go past the what - 4th pic?

I’ll put up a warning.

By the way, these boys are *Harry* and *Potter* (ok so I know I’m late but I just got to start reading the series...)

The boys *at rest*...

Heads, feet, necks, *doodles* in a pan.

[atsimg]http://files.abovetopsecret.com/images/member/9a4bfaabd46e.jpg[/atsimg]

Yum - Says my next door neighbor

If people had the opportunity to be responsible, life would be different for all of us.

We just all don't have this option any longer.
***************************

And again, all that being said, this video still disturbs me to my core.

Thanks, great points, just not ones that apply to me...

And to me - the pig is still evil.

OK here is the mess of jumbled pics at the start of the video, I left out the first as it can be seen for time and the last as its been added to the discussion.

[atsimg]http://files.abovetopsecret.com/images/member/a380b154a3c8.jpg[/atsimg]

As for the rest of the video, there is no other frames out of place.
Near the middle of the repetitive video there was one splash of white that fades back to the normal with nothing else added there either.

Me too, this thread should be in BTS. Its just someone's piece of video art, subliminals in all. If this was for an ad or something main stream then there is a point to this thread but as there isn't.. well there isn't.

People have been using "weird" images like what is in this video for a long time - like the NIN videos - and people have been using still framed images (your subliminals) in their films (as art) for a long time too - think Clockwork Orange.

Don't see the point to this thread except to say how I feeeel, which is annoyed at this thread not being in BTS lol

I do agree the video of the pig is freaky and what adds to it is the change in the music right at that point to make it feel more sinister. To me it feels satirical, since the pig is wearing a tophat and suit. It could even be a representation of the upper class or politicians, etc. And the fact that it has sharp teeth, nothing like a pig's mouth makes it look like a wolf in pig's clothing, rather than a sheep; as if to show a double negative. A lot of old cartoons from that era were littered with satire using pig metaphors for greed. Just my two cents.

If you can't see the video is being used as a discussion tool, then, I'm sorry.

We're discussing one man’s evil, compared to another's, using a video as a tool.
Then, part way into the thread, we found, subliminal photos in the video.
Interesting stuff that.
Combine it now with people diverse reactions and you’ve a post exactly where it belongs.

Now, are you going to stay on topic and tell us how you feel about the video (not where you think it belongs) or, not?

I'd appreciate your input - I'm interested in everyone's take on this.

If you’ve not watched it I’d appreciate it if you did, and, then told us if your reaction if you have any.

It's a tool. Use it, or turn the channel...
