Atheist...,atheists atheist. You know I believe myself to be a fairly open minded individual. I'm weighed own by this one belief that could never change. I read. I've read plenty on the concept of evolutionary theory. I get it. Its a worthless answer because there really isnt anything to evolution. The research stops too soon. The universe is too old to really think that oh evolution is the answer and it proves theres no god. I disagree. Actually to be honest i find it to be half-assed.
When the earth had no life on it perhaps a rock fell with mold and thus spawned life. At the big bang or what have you somewhere in that singularity was something that kick started life on this planet. Atheist are probably the most upsetting people on earth. Probably end up destroying the world (wouldnt matter to them because they'd turn to space dust or something) But it seems like to me that any time a fellow ats'r post anything remotely religious they get bashed immediately. Why? Fear? They often say that people who have faith are stupid or something along the lines. First they group everyone who has faith for being religious zealots. I disagree with this because if i were to do so i would be under the impression that all atheists are douchebags and part of a religious cult full of people who think their opinion on how the earth came about is more correct. Atheism is no different than any other religion. They have their zealots (dawkins) their protests (every christmas). So im supposed to believe that a group of people who have their beliefs and are trying to jam them down my throat? Sorry no thank you. Atheist have not proved anything more than anyone else so in my opinion they are just another group of peanuts in a peanut gallery. so my final words to those i'm addressing. Shut up and leave people alone. If they want to believe in something that works for them. You want to believe in nothing well congrats you helped society......well none. Thanks

Um... Atheists do not have to prove anything, thats the believers job I am a christian, but there is no reason to make a whole thread calling out Atheists. It just creates more division... sigh... I guess I am speaking to the peanut gallery as they scream and holler at each other and I whisper to them....

You are quite wrong, atheists have science to support their claims, religious people have their ancient texts to support theirs. I posted a thread about cells and our understanding of them, I would suggest (as you say youre open minded) that you watch the videos made by the BBC and come back and tell me that atheists have nothing to support their claims. Basically, every living being on this earth (including plants) are made of cells and it has been scientifically proven with out a shadow of doubt that every cell on this earth came from one common source (ergo evolution).

[edit to add] You can still believe in god and support evolution, in my opinion the problem is the creation stories and not necessarily the existence of god. Atheists will say there is no evidence for god, but absence of evidence is not evidence of absence

Evolution has nothing to do with Atheism. Nothing. It's a mechanical explanation of how living things change over time. There is no requirement to be an Atheist to accept Evolution, many scientist are firm believers in one religion or another. Belief, (religion) is one thing, Science ( the scientific method ) is another thing, they are not mutually exclusive, though christian fundies would have you believe so.

One more question to the ops, to point out the flaw in your argument.

I will take on the "science is wrong" attitude theists make.

OPs...how are babies made? See, I believe through my faith that when two people love each other, god implants a seed. eventually a stork comes and delivers the baby to the mother in a hospital.

Now...please explain to me how I am mistaken. Keep in mind a few things though:
I believe sperm has never been seen with anyones eye..its a myth
I believe microscopes are flawed technology that is not showing contents of ejaculate, but rather bacterial growth (not sperm)
I will not read any medical journals as they are just trying to run a scam
I will not listen to "professions" whom are just people that propagate the lie of natural child birth
I will not watch or adhere to any videos showing birth, or ultrasound tech (which is all just lies).

now, since I refuse to read or investigate on this...how can you prove it to me...and with that, I believe that the stork and god theory should be given equal time in biology class!
