The $40,000 dollar haircut...

I kid you not, a hair stylist in the UK is charging 20 grand (approx 40 thousand dollars) for his clients hair cutes...

It’s enough to make your hair curl all by itself – £20,000 for a cut and blow dry.

But celebrity stylist Stuart Phillips reckons it’s a snip.

And he has a string of uber-rich clients queueing for his five-figure pampering session.

Stuart’s swanky salon in London’s Covent Garden has Swarovski crystal chandeliers and soothing Japanese shampoo beds.

It has become the place to go for the wives of Russian oligarchs as well as a galaxy of A-list stars.

And while Stuart’s services don’t come cheap, you do get a whole day of being treated like royalty, with champagne on tap and anything you like from the menu at the five-star Covent Garden Hotel just across the road.

And if you’re flying in from Moscow or New York, no problem. He’ll even fork out for two nights in the hotel..........

What a WASTE of money! I am sorry a 40k hair cut doesnt seem to be any better than a $20 dollar one from the local Hair Cuttery. I have paid crazy amounts and gone to the cheaper places as well and personally think its insane to pay 100 bucks to have your hair cut. I go for the 20 dollar one from Wal-Mart, yes Wal-Mart. The stylist there is a 50 year old African American man who is amazing! He is the only person who can do my hair and not mess it up! I have followed him to a couple stores and why because he is good and inexpensive! I paid 150 a few years ago at a well known salon and they screwed my hair up! I had to go somewhere else and have it redone! I know some people love their hair stylists but is 40k really necessary?? Do you get pampered for that price? I get a head massage and snacks for my 20 bucks and I am quite happy with my guy. I couldnt ask for more....
