ATS Members only Awards Banquet

Every industry has their own awards "banquet"

The oscars, the tonys, yhe grammys, the espys, etc.

Big deals

While brainstorming...with a fellow ATSer we thought this unique website could possibly pull off an awards banquet (live) on the web.

WE picked a date, 1st annual, Dec. 21 2009

Sub categories to the above

Most intelligent
most dilligent(hard work)
comedy
crazy
off the wall


The mods will have to do most of the work





In this time of uneasiness and stress this really could be fun and groundbreaking

Hoept eh mods get interested though, there are some fantastic pieces of work out there.

We should also add an ATS'er of the year award, and a mod of the year I think. Should also be awards for BTS too.

Maybe have some type of badge or label they can wear ie Name followed by award and year they won

Good idea, but it should probably be in the question section rather than skunkworks.

We have flags, stars and contribution things, and the bronze silver and so on stuff.

Seems redundant.

I doubt they'd do it, they seems busy as is, mutter has been down for awhile, asking for more!

Plus, members who didn't make it may get mad and quit the site, losing revenue due to the ads.

Be pretty risky I'd say.

I like the idea, but don't think it'd work.

I actually think that it might encourage people to write better, more in depth threads. It could lead to the quality on ATS becoming better I think.

It's pretty pathetic.

I personally didn't see anyone bitch about it, but from different wording it's what SO said the reasoning behind it, was for those bitchers.

Like I said, it's a cool idea, but it just won't work.

But hey atleast someone won't think they won and walk up on stage accidently!

Interesting idea.
Although I'm sure people will get upset over something.

I have to admit that I don't know who Wishbone is I'm living down under in Aus so we might not have gotten that program.

Maybe we should set up a debate? Wishbone vs Inspector Rex? Actually thats starting to sound like a dogfighting ring now......

Oh and as to the OP it's a great idea but I think that given our unique community here it may result in more problems than it solves.
