SKY News UFO Footage from Pontefract Conference 09

These Turkey UFO shots are fake, anyone can see that.
And personally i feel i`ve gone beyond proving a UFO on film is real or not. The question for me is public awareness and full disclosure and to figure out how to make contact peacefully, and the NO government should in that case be involved only ordinary working class heroes should do the first contact.
That is my personal opinion thou.

I think it's a great shame that a new thread has been started about this video.

In the previous thread, a huge amount of very interesting information "for" & "against" was posted that would be of great value to the people posting here, who are abviously quite new to this case.

Now we are going to go through a huge cycle of posting, discussing, arguing, etc... without the benefit of all the previously posted strong info.

There was hours & hours of work in that.

IMHO this thread should be closed forthwith.

Aree, "anyone" cannot see that the Kumburgaz videos are fakes, that is just your personal opinion, nothing more.

If you really want to impress us, tell us WHY they are fakes, point by point, establish a reasoning that makes sense, and keep your gut feelings to yourself.

I believe our debunker wannabee Phage came to the conclusion that it was a model, or a superior mirage created by a fleet of fishing boats on the Marmara,

I believe that what Haktan Akdogan (the interviewee) is referring to here is the video tests performed by The Science and Technology Research Board of Turkey (TUBITAK), which showed that the video(s) had not been altered by CGI. With other words, the object that you see in the videos is really there, doing what it is doing,

This is old news, SKY News simply picked up on it at this conference, that's all.

Why is it always assumed to be a UFO and not some top secret plane made and controlled by Humans?

If we had the Stealth Bomber in the 80's, imagine whats being covered up now.

And I would love to see a video of Clinton's comments, very interesting if he said that..

I don't think its a good idea that they involve the "abductees" in this conference.. or any other conference until the worlds population have been completely convinced that ufos are infact et in origin. For the simple fact that amongst the average person it's not hard for them to grasp the concept of aliens, even visiting earth, however, the "abductee" claims will surely only bring forth ridicule and further hurt any attemtps at public disclosure. Either that or... they'll never see it cuz they're watchin american idol, or the next top model..

If it was a craft made by humans, and no government acknowledges its existence, it is still a UFO, since the definition refers to any unidentified flying object.

Many people consider the extra-terrestial origin theory plausible, because UFO:s are often reported to travel at impossible speeds without producing any sounds, being able to do 90º turns in those speeds (against laws of physics, as far as we know it), and appear and vanish out of nowhere.

If you consider that a country on this planet has the technology to produce such a craft, then please tell us which one.

I too saw the previous thread on that highly detailed footage of the craft, with close up shots of the inhabitants, that seem to move along the vehicle.

I am very torn on it. To me it initially looked like a model, with manipulation to include the "aliens" after filming.
It was just too perfect.

But then another part of me acknowledges that as photography technology improves, more and more detailed footage would come about if such encounters were indeed true.

Ultimately I am always sceptical until complete proof can be given. They mention a security guard, many witnesses, professionals who have analysed it... but where are all these people?
In all of these videos I see that one guy claiming they all exist, but surely if you'd shared an experience like that with lots of other people, a group would be naturally formed to get the word out there throughout the public? So where are they all?

That's one thing that makes me highly suspicious.

And what does this guy do for a living? What is his background?
It wouldn't shock me to find out he was in a media driven career, a film editor or amateur director or something.

I know people here don't like others suggesting that they decide on "gut feeling", but with so little evidence and supporting corroboration, there's little else to do. And so my personal gut feeling is that this is a very good hoax.

I know UFO's exist, I've seen several. But this remarkable footage is just too good to be true, and the supporting witnesses and evidence to back it up is just too lacking.

I am a pontefract native, born at the pontefract general hospital. I was driving by the park side hotel where this was held when I saw the signs for the conference.

I remember remarking to my wifey, that it looks like a load of bs if its at the park side. I now wish I would have gone to this!

The Park Side Hotel is a joke amongst locals here, I personally know a woman who worked there for 10 years and they got rid of her for illegal reasons. She sued them, and was awarded over £12,000. The foreign a hole owners never paid her a penny and she is near destitute. The place is a complete dive but If this was held at a more reputable location, even the new hotel near Xscape, or even in the town hall, it would have gotten more deserved and long lasting media attention.

As for the footage, I'm sure a lot of us ATS'ers are quite well acquainted with the turkish UFO. I remember reading that the consensus for the lights in the footage were from an oil facility or something to that affect. The UFO close up however, is quite impressive and I personally believe you can see the beings inside.

Ha! For the first vid posted, the first time I saw that vid on you tube, the comments made were along the lines of "Fake! Thats a cars steering wheel!"& "Do you think we're stupid?They are zooming in on the sterring wheel!" Hope they're eating their words now.

Agreed you already covered, this is interesting material though, and I am not against it being brought up again in this manner.

Unfortunately I agree that no amount of footage will ever convince the people, there are only two ways for mass society to accept we are not alone, and that is:

1) Official statement from major government

2) Crash site, recovered by civillans.

Don't get too excited over any UFO video unless it's live on TV over a city.

Unless that happens or an actual craft or bodies are on show to the world, then nothing substancial will occur in terms of proof.

There are always so-called experts claiming lots of things about a lot of UFO sightings that never go anywhere, so it's best to take a sceptical view, as so-called experts may not have the expertise they claim regardless of their position.

Haha, I just spent ages trying to find this exact screen shot, should have read the whole thread first.
This is the one thing that stands out for me... the similarity to the Izzat images, she has a really credible case.

Well what can i say???? its a strange one, i remember all the footage that yalsim yamin or whatever he is called. I just dont buy it, i mean, in previous threads there where people who said it was a shower head(the ufo) that was on the beach, reflecting light from the moon, hence the bottom part being darker, i also like the front of a ship theory, but i have a couple of points,

1) Why is the ufo in the sky high up at night, i know this because of other footage which had the moon as a reference, and why is it so close to the surface of the water at dawn?

2) Why oh why, after so many nights over a few months, why didnt he contact any media or other cameramen to the sight to get footage along side him to earn credibility and have other witnesses??? i just dont get it, if it was me then after the third night i would be contacting someone to get footage with me to show im not a faker!.

oh yea, i think the bbc breakfast ufo is more convincing tham the kumburgaz ufo. Also the second video just looks like a helium balloon floating on the wind under the clouds.

I followed the original thread(s) with a modicum of interest. I'm not one to jump to any conclusions and I usually side on these things (if real) being terrestrial in nature. Sneaky aliens popping in for a 30 second Yout Tube video just doesn't wash for me.

And that is precisely what turned me off to the original thread. When people started seeing alien heads I pretty much moved on. I would say that oil tankers or the bow of large ship are very plausable answers to these videos. Alien heads indeed.....

Some clues:
Page 18 of the thread above includes a translation
Multiple pages of same discussion discuss "this is an oil rig" and "this is a ships bow coming towards the shore" (the general consensus among skeptics, you have to read that thread for more info)
And there are multiple instances of "this is the best footage ever 100% completely not able to debunk it" (the general consensus among believers).

Some additional clues:

My Opinion:
This video does not meet my basic criteria for discussion, it could be anything.

Thank you very much for bringing this to my attention. Hadn't seen anything on this yet. Guess I've been under a rock for too long.

Very nice avatar don't know why people are complaining. For a place that is all for free speech and freedom in general there sure are a whole lot of people always telling people what to do and what to believe.
