I do not remember the Military being involved either. I remember the ATF sporting their Para-Military weapons.

Also, those who seem to think that Koresh's people werent armed, are ignorant of the facts. You have to explain how bullets flew out of the side of the house from within and killed and wounded the officers. Magic bullets maybe.

Also, anyone who locks up children in underground chambers and refuses to allow them to escape when the building is burning down in flames, is a bad person...Mr Koresh and his people included.

The really "funny" part about it is that they could have arrested him the night before if that is who they were really after. He was playing music at a pub at the Richland Mall in Waco the night before they raided the compund.

Well, I just presented some of it. We aren't even going to get into the fact that the authorities were making money off of the meth lab that was right down the road from where the compound was... David had bitched about it and shortly there after, they raided the compound.

Never proven!!! They sent child protective services out there on numerous occasions. They never found any evidence of the accusations. It is a fact that the allegations that were leveled at Koresh remain that sixteen years later, allegations.

Maybe the best way of dealing with him without adding fuel was to get him straight out??

Jesus Christ also claimed to be Jesus Christ.

Therefore, he deserved to die.

If David Koresh did molest children, then the world is better off with him dead. But we have no way of knowing that. If you want to vilify someone, saying they molested children is a good way to do it. Particularly if religion is involved, since everyone knows cult leaders abuse their powers for sex.

It isn't actually illegal to run a cult. I doubt the government cares that much if you do. They only bring out the big guns for people who challenge their authority in some way.

Koresh probably didn't declare himself the Messiah, but who cares if he did? It's not against the law to say you are Jesus. We have freedom of religion in this country. You can even believe that you are God, if that makes you happy.
