The all too often quote of "He was such a quiet boy" That was until he blew away 10 people in the local department store, may make some sense now. Makes you wonder what kinds of voices this "quiet boy" was hearing, and more importantly, where were the voices coming from. Scary business.

I expect many of us can refer to a point where we heard a voice or recieved a message, presumably God, aliens what have you. This has some immense possibilities and just leaves one with more questions. Interesting thread here.

Someone has already probably said it, but couple this technology with the highly advanced and effective mental programming techniques the CIA and other letter agencies perfected during the cold war, and you have yourself a foolproof system of staying in power.

Without ever knowing it, every person in the US could have programming in their minds that could be used to simply 'turn them off' if anything went down. A phrase or sound would be all needed to trigger the program.

Imagine it as a weapon of war. While the enemy sleeps, add code to their brain that allows you to turn them on their own kind or simply kill themselves.

And it is all proven to be possible.

Attention Deficit Order kinda rings a bell here. It's good to speculate on things like this, though we will never know the truth on the extent of which people go to control others. Either way, it's definitely not outside the realm of possibility.

"If you can think it, they've probably tried it." -was said here on ATS just the other day.

I'm pretty interested in triggers too. Not necessarily Manchurian Candidate stuff, but just basic triggers to divide one's attention. Everybody here, including myself, can probably recall a few instances where they found themselves thinking of something but a few minutes later you find yourself completely wrapped up in something and forgot about what you were thinking about before. Mind slip, or what?

Triggers are much more believable, especially in the information age. Who knows what kind of triggers they have set up for the most rudimentary of programming.

An elementary trigger being sex diversion.

As an example, visit YouTube and watch some controversial "conspiracy" videos or government speculation stuff. Look at the right-hand panel for "Related Videos"... what do you find?

Very true man... and the cherry on the sundae is that a couple years back it got out that the Pentagon was trying to create a "gay bomb" that released some kind of gas that made men go gay... and not only that, but so enamored of their comrades they'd drop their weapons right then and there and get busy with each other!

Apart from being utterly hilarious, it is pretty dang scary, lol.

Wow, I have to say I do not think this will do the owners or users of this device any good, at least in my case.

I have so much going on in my head to begin with what’s one more voice added to the mix?

Besides I never listen to or do a thing I think!

Talk about dreamers! Better luck on the next invention.

Oops got to go my goldfish is screaming at me about something again!

Okay, please don't ignore or discount out of hand what I'm going to say next because I'm not a bible thumper (not in the least) but what if this is what they are referring to in End Times prophecy when they say that we won't know what to believe, that we will be deceived and that's why we must learn to listen to our hearts long before, so that we know the sound of our Self?

Once you're chipped, you're lost. You won't escape them. But resistance now to whatever they're selling us next is certain to make them change tack and increase the odds of their failure. At the moment we're like a herd running headlong right to the slaughterhouse. Think how easily the Nazis loaded all the Jews onto trains and straight to the ovens. We look just the same now. We have to behave now with hindsight to that event. Maybe we won't be doomed to repeating history if we at some point actually learn from it.

This sounds more like a domestic weapon to me. What other use could there be? As soon as the people have had enough and try to make a change, everyone starts acting like that movie "The Happening" and offs themselves. Except instead of plant spores its voices repeating the same sentence over and over. They wouldn't even need to hire UN troops to supplement the military that would be patrolling the streets then.

I agree that is could be used domestically. Imagine at a rally a speaker is saying one thing but the crowd is hearing what the government is putting in their head. The speaker could be telling them to riot and they hear, "Go home and take a nap!"

It could be the end of dissent as we know it.

I figure in that span of time they will know every thought we think. They won't just put thoughts into our heads, they will pull thoughts out of them.

And we won't even need a chip.

Now imagine an advertising agency gets hold of this. Projecting commercials directly into your brain.

UUgghhhh!

We have commercials everywhere, why not in our brains? From your living room to your bedroom there is commercials, even in the toilets now a days. They force these commercials in your head.

Thats crazy, you never know, maybe instead of using it as a weapon they might sell it to the public as sorta the next "TV" type of entertainment. if they do that many would probably go willingly and then they would simply flood our minds with subliminal messages.

But then again, thats just my opinion.

Every object can be used for good and bad, it is as simple as that. We shouldn't stop technological advances in different areas simply because it can be used for negative purposes. An example would be the atomic energy, some use it as weapon hence US, Russia, Pakistan... and some for electricity. Every thing has its good and bad, every action whether good or bad can be both good and bad.
