Why hasn't this been on ATS???
This is very disturbing. It makes it very easy for Governments or Secret Services to plant fake evidence.
I wonder how this report is going to affect the jurisdiction concerning it, it turns virtually any case into a "conspiracy".
So you can claim you were framed by the Mossad or CIA if you have troubles with the law and they use DNA evidence against you.

This is the perfect reason to do away with the death penalty. It's the one punishment you can't take back.

For years, death penalty advocates have said that DNA evidence can prove beyond the shadow of a doubt that someone committed a crime. This shows that the evidence can be falsified, and therefore is not infallible.

I believe that in a free society the justice system should be more concerned with protecting the innocent than creating harsh punishments for the guilty.
