New footage of soldiers in Iraq using expensive infared binoculars to see some amazing and unexplained objects. You know I do not believe in ufos, however this got my attention, not in thinking it's aliens but more of what kind of aircraft am I looking at here, you will see they are several diffrent ones and designs, but the last one, the triangle really got my attention and the speeds just blowed me away. So you guys be the judge and enjoy.

hi

I think these are geese - the goggles can pick up reflected light. There's lots of migratory birds go over there.

It's just the way the formation breaks up - geese fly at night too.

Great post, OP!

Yep, definately looks like some type of bird formation.

The last one looks really fast, I don't think that is a flock of birds.

The objects in the video up to that point are most likely birds. And you say it's new, but that last piece of footage has been around for months.

If you watch the whole video the triangle shaped thing is definately not a bird. The formations before looks like birds, but not the triangle at the end.

Defo birds! I wish folk would drop the music..? Nice, music, but it just shouts fake craft footage

Agreed, these ones do look like birds.

Saw a load that looked just like that at a wedding a couple of weeks ago.

I didn't make it that far into the video
Good spot.

I guess others didn't get past the few minutes of birds either. There's that guy on youtube with the infra red footage, he's got one shaped just like that. (fnar)

Well out of curiousity, what's the range of the IR illuminator on that camera? And was there an additional handheld IR penlight or some other device possibly being reflected off their feathers?

i could just go try it out in my back yard tonight as i have both pieces of equipment.

I noticed they do look like birds as well. But what about the blinking objects? plane? And that triangle at the end is definately not a bird. Really makes me wonder...

The Triangle at the End reminds me of another video that someone posted awhile ago also at night. Can't remember which one.

The Triangle is Not Birds. If that is birds they are definitely not birds from our planet!

Strd n flg'd!

nice find...

This is the original footage, dated 5th December 2008. It was filmed in the USA, not Iraq...

to those who are interested, i use the following to film these clips:

--atn pvs-7 3rd generation night vision goggles
--sony ir/uv modified camcorder (good for daytime sightings)
--sony hd camcorder (recent night vision footage)

If someone has some time on their hands they should look at the background and see if you can determine where the video was shot from by the stars visible in the sky.
Although it says, taken by soldiers in Iraq, to me it seems more like it was shot from a suburban setting somewhere in North America. The lines on the house as well as the satellite dish with the connecting power lines really gives it away.

Now granted, I'm not familiar with suburban construction in Iraq but what exactly is the story behind the footage. It sure wasn't a base camp they were shooting from so they were doing what? an operation inside the city at night time?

And also as others have said it does look like migratory birds, the triangle formation that moves quicker at the end is shot in a different zoom ratio and could be closer to the camera making it appear it is traveling at greater speed.

As I said, A little investigation on the stars in the background should reveal some good information.

This is the description from the YouTube video:

Foot soldiers on patrol in Iraq saw somethink strange in the sky and filmed it with there night vision. What they filmed was a formation of UFOs,Great footage.

The user that uploaded it lives in England, so in my opinion the story could be made up. You just have to look at the last bit of footage which was filmed in the USA; he obviously doesn't know what he's talking about, or got his information wrong.

Thanks for posting this video....I have often wondered why so many people try to comprehend something by strait jacketing it within the limits of their experience.

Like for example, geese, weather balloons, military flares....Is it an attempt to either debunk or desperately fit things into the safe and comfortable box and not think about it any more?

Why dont we look at something and say wtf??!!! this does NOT fit into my box of safe comfortable knowledge...so what the hell is this?

And letting the question remain just that...a question, even if there are no immediate or satisfactory answers?

Edit to add: S&F! Nice find, OP.

the IR illuminator would definatly not extrend that far into the sky. These are objects that are producing visible light, hence the illuminator tubes picking them up in the night vision. Do geese produce their own light??? I can understand and arguement for an object maybe 300 yards away, but some of those objects appear to be 10,000+feet up

First half is geese for sure, looks exactly like classic geese migration formation

Middle big looks like a plane because of the classic flashing light, the last bit is the only interesting bit, looks the same as the geese at first but they would be flying in a straight line not circling around like that and it keeps its triangular form better than the geese at the start

Well I'm no professional but based on all the other films that I've seen with birds flying/filmed at night, I'd have to say that there's nothing there except birds and planes. Sorry....
