Answers I received from my pendulum

Interesting.

I want to believe, so I shall ask some questions about myself and see what the answers are like.

Do I love italian food?
Do I have 4 sisters?
Is it true that one of my sisters is unable to have children?
Does my middle name start with the letter A and rhymes with canister?
Does my dog sleep on the bed with me sometimes?
Do I respect Alex Jones?


I'd like to have those questions answered please.

total shot in the dark because as stated about 94 times, it doesnt work like that. its like asking a magic 8-ball any question at all. it is not going to be accurate no matter the method

I asked the following questions using my pendulum today:

Will there be a world war by 2011 or 2012? Yes
Will this be nuclear? No
Will this devastate the economy? No
Will people live devastated lives? No
Will one side clearly win? Yes
Will this be against aliens? No
Will one side be the arabs? No clear answer
Will it be against the PTB? No
Will it have scalar weapons? No
Will it be widespread in Europe soil? Not clear, seems a no
Will it be brief (within months)? Unclear, seems a no
Will our spiritual state be increase by 2012? Unclear, seems a yes
Will be there alien disclosure (2012)? No
And during next decade? Not clear, seems a yes
Will we return to local communities, tribes and nature? Not clear, first a no then a yes
Will life be better after 2012? Yes, but not clear

(So it seems rather strange its nature, a possible WW3 conflict, does not seem that bad)

The other day I also asked questions and I got this timeline for next decade.
Well, don't take it seriously, since I am just starting using a pendulum.
Overall, the feeling was for manageable changes during the next decade.

Mid September 2009 - Economic (or otherwise) crisis start gradually
November 2009 - Economic or social crisis becomes deeper (flu pandemic is mild)
Mid 2010 - Economic depression achieves bottom (level comparable to great depression, but other events could give a certain weirdness). Of course, this brings significant personal changes.
Mid 2011- First signs of revolutions and uprisings/conflict start
Mid 2012 - Significant social and economic recovery (similar to todays).
Early 2013 - UFO disclosure (reaction is significant social tension)
Mid 2014 - A new sort of crisis, involving components of new social crisis, half revolution or uprisings and half-conflict; not at a global scale but still at a large scale. Earth changes only involved minor events and mild climate change. The mood concerning the following year is mostly related to issues of resources, emotional nature, self-nature, survival and basic needs (maybe triggered the mild economic depression, and the social crisis due to disclosure). This is denoted as the year of most intense change.
2020s- The mood is mostly focused in communications, spiritual and scientific development; there is very mild social aggitation, revolutions and changes, knowledge is expanding and changing.
2022- Another year of more intense change, but managable.
2032- Calmer moods and changes

I use a pendulum to reply your questions.
Let me know if they were correct and which.

Do I have 4 sisters? No (but I had the feeling you had something like close to a number of four siblings, maybe with brothers, or just 3)
Is it true that one of my sisters is unable to have children? Yes, but then moved to unclear (maybe she can even if she now thinks no)

Does my dog sleep on the bed with me sometimes? No (I asked if you have a dog, and it said no)

Hey here's an idea: why doesn't someone do a scientific test test intead of all this mumbo-jumbo:

get a bunch of coins (10 or so), shake them up in a bag/shirt, close your eyeballs, reach inside, and place them under a bunch of cups, or in line under a sheet. Use a cloth glove or SOMETHING so that your finger tips can't unconciously cheat and detect which side is heads/tails. Now that they are under the cups /sheet, open your eyeballs and ask if the first coin is heads, and write it down. DO NOT LOOK YET Ok, now ask if the second coin is heads and write it down. Continue to do this for all ten coins, and THEN you look to see if your accuracy is significantly more than 50 percent.

1) Will the earth be killed off in the next 30 years?

2) Will we recieve help from alien beings in the nxt 5 years?

3) Will humans evolve to have special abilities?

4) Will I have a nice meal tonight?

I love this thread it is very interesting! Thanks for the post and please tell us anything else you find out/ask. It is intriguing to say the least and I definitely believe in that sort of thing. I am going to make my own pendulum.

This is the first time I've sat and read through an entire thread on ATS. First, Calihan, thank you so very much for starting this thread, and even more for staying involved. I thoroughly enjoyed this thread from page one to fourty-one.

While I greatly enjoyed the thought-provoking questions and answers, I think I got more out of the content of the questions than anything. You can see what's important to people through these questions. It helped me see which of the theories, ideas, and thoughts were focused on in regards to the forum content.

It also gave my little notepad quite a workout as I looked up references and terms that I'd not heard of. At one point I had 16 seperate Firefox tabs open each with different ATS-related content. I've spent a long while lurking the ATS forums and only last week became a member. I figure I've read just about everything here and should consider participating. I've not wanted to say Thank You as much as I do after reading this thread. Thank you OP, and thank you to all who've participated. You guys have really come through.

that may be true but what does it solve by connecting high school GPA to sheets and cups?

I have to say that in my 15 years of experience with dowsing and divination with a pendulum I have always had to have physical contact with a person for the personal questions to be spot-on. Otherwise, like someone else said (and I'm too lazy to go back through the pages and figure out who), you're as likely to get a correct answer from a coin-toss.

Other from that, I have to say that this has been a fun thread to read, all 41 pages of it!

I would argue that you "know" by way of unconscious opinion, that when it proves right people remember the hits but when wrong people forget.

Thats a basic principle in cold reading, people always remember the hits more than the misses.

Not knocking you at all, but I would only believe in your ability if you could show it to me in front of my eyes and answer questions correctly about myself.

Thinking of it realistically, even if you did do it for me personally and answered 5 out of 10 questions correct; thats still only statistical pot luck.

If you could hit 8/9 out of 10, three times in a row then I would be very impressed.

And that is exactly the right approach to have.

Most of the answers given in this thread is untrustworthy. Parlour fun. Not to be believed.

People might as well ask the local baker and see what he says.

I would suggest checking for any alternative stores (occult, wiccan, alt spirituality) in your area to see if they carry any pendulums in stock. Sometimes, you can even find folks at rock shows that carry them. You have to figure out what speaks to you, though, as it's been pointed out, anything dangled from a string can work. I, personally, resonate better with metal, so mine is made from pewter & silver (though I have a smokey quartz one that's pretty, as well as several others - I collect them!) Sometimes, though, I just use the skeleton key that I wear every day. *shrugs* It's all experimentation and intuition when it comes to finding the right tool, when it comes down to it.

Something else to ponder, as I was just reminding someone else by phone just now: whenever you ask for a glimpse into the future, you have to keep in mind that the answer given is the most likely outcome at that precise moment. That means, free will trumps all. Whatever religion you ascribe to, free will is the common denominator (even for those athiestic folk.) If you make a change, even slight, it may effect the outcome. That's probably the biggest thing I have to remind people of when I read them, whether it's pendulum, tarot, runes, or tea leaves. The future, it is mutable, folks!
