I just made a post in the counter thread to this one. Thought I would share my thoughts here as well. It's all fine and dandy to believe in divination and what not. To each his own. But it is totally different when you see visions from a crystal ball. A pendulum? Yes or No=Binary code. yes, no. on, off.

My computer could give me accurate answers too...

I used to love using my pendulum . . . until I realized I was controlling the answers it was giving me. Even when someone else held the pendulum, the answer I wanted or expected at my unconscous level would be the answer I would get.

I even tried to intentionally think opposite of what I knew were factual answers and could get an the answer I wanted instead of the truth.

So, I've stopped using a pendululm.

I really have no guestions, but must say I enjoyed reading this thread.
I have always felt we all are programmed to fulfill a certain aspect
of the future, With the concept of freewill taken into consideration.
The use of a pendulum, is just a way to glimpse a possibility.
I sincerely loved the guestions as much as the answers.
Starred and Flagged.
Great Thread OP!

thank you very much for putting it that way. far too many people are not understanding the point and purpose of a pendulum... and exactly as you said, it is a way to glimpse a possibility. no answer given on here should be taken 100 percent serious as life is ever evolving and changing, and none our our destinies are set in stone. no answer you get is one you should live your life based on. it is only a tool for guidance

1. Will we be visited by intelligent life openly in public within the next 5,10,15 years?

2. Has there been more than 1 nuclear war on earth?

3. Has our government been engaged in space travel, other than the moon?

4. Has our government been engaged in time travel?

5. Has any famous person in history been a extraterrestrial being?

6. Will we be hit by the meteor on 2029?

7. Has there been a underground war going on since the 60s?

indeed. choice exists because free will makes our circumstances change with the ebb and flow of rivaling wills. fate is the path that forks with our choices... not the actual events that come from choice.

Thank you deeply and sincerely for showing your support toward the Belief in Inanimate Objects (BIO). BIOlogy, as I call it, is a very intimate part of my existence... and I hope, and pray, that it will eventually replace the frivolous and obviously silly field of biology (not to be confused with BIOlogy). Far too many people here are stupid and closed-minded, refusing to follow BIO and therefore proving their similar beliefs in such foolish things as logic and the scientific method!

1) Did Barack Obama confer with any psychics/mediums/clairvoynants while he was running for President?

2) Was it Michael Jackson's destiny to die now?

3) Will Michael Jackson's body be buried at Neverland?

4) Does he want to be buried at the foot of 'the giving tree' with his head at the trunk of tree and his feet point to a body of water?

5) Am I supposed to marry the man who stars in my movie?

6) Will I receive a settlement check in the amount of $50K this year?

7) Will I get a great deal on a home purchase before Dec. 01 2009?

8) If yes, will it be a large home?

9) Am I a descendant of extraterrestrial beings?

10) If yes, am I partially from a species referred to as "Reptillian"?

This could be interesting.

Yeah i did the same thing as a kid your mind will cause very subtle movements getting the answer you expected. It is a good tool in finding out what a person truly believes to be fact however.Sort of like a lie detector if there holding the pendulum you can see what they expect the answer to be.

I really don't understand your distinction between BIOlogy and biology.
I would appreciate your explaining this further.
I also do not consider people who believe in the scientific method
or logic closed minded. I truely believe there is sound merit in both of these processes, as these are the foundation with which civilizations
where built. I do however think there is more, and do believe that we
get glimpses into a possible futures. As I also think we as all things
have an unseen connection. As the trees and plants soil, fire and air do...

1) is up to choice. i am not able to see whose choice it hinges on
2) is no
3) no as they will have their own issues to see to
4) by 2012 it will be
5) yes but it will be for show to keep the country from total collapse
6) yes but it seems that 2011 has a event that changes conventional economic thinking
7) no

personal questions can only be answered if i have atleast seen you face to face.

Thanks for answering my questions. I've tried using pendulums myself, but it seems to be hit or miss for me. Some days I'm 100 percent correct, and sometimes I get different answers for the same questions. I also keep a record of the questions I ask myself and see whether the predictions pan out or not. I asked the same questions I sent to you on my own pendulum, and here are the results:

I got that Obama won't finish out his term and Joe Biden will become president.
Sarah Palin won't run in 2012
NYC will be hit by a terrorist attack within the next 5 years
Swine flu will be a deadly pandemic
The economy will collapse but not for another 2 years.
BONUS question/answer: Hillary won't ever be president.

for yes, mine goes up and down and for no it goes sideways, so its very distinct and easy for me to tell the difference

I'm a clockwise "Yes", back and forth "No" and counter-clockwise "Unknown/Undetermined"

i tried this method to see if it would go in a circle, but it seems it didnt work so well for me. it only goes in a circle for "unknown".

interesting to see the differences between each person

The difference between a civil war and a revolution, is who wins. If the "rebels" win, it's a revolution. If they lose, it's a civil war.

Calihan. Because you are getting so many new questions to answer. I would like you not to bother in answering my questions on the bottom of page 10. Of course you might had decided not to answers my questions in the first place anyway. Beside, I would not believe the answers it give you. No matter what the answers is.

but can it stand the test of both. my specialty with debate is being on both sides of the argument its like jon stewart except this is about stuff science pushes away because it is not measurable. occult arts do not defy logic, they circumvent logical shortfalls.

It tells you something about the state of ATS when some kid playing with a magical pendulum gets over 21 pages worth of replies.

Yeah

It says that every once in a while, we'd like to have some fun instead of reading about or watching all the doom and gloom going on in the world or watch people argue back and forth in threads over the most idiotic things. It says that a lot of us on here don't take everything we read on the internet soo seriously and would like a little fun break from time to time.

Something wrong with that? I find it funny you're calling someone else a kid when you're the one that came in here whining
