My daughter caught a terrible virus - blowing chunks, diarrhea, and the usual. It had been going on for hours, couldn't even keep liquids down so I
got the call.
My wife rolled her eyes when I grabbed the anise, ginger, cinnamon, cumin, honey, and peppermint.
I made a tea with the ingredients, and truthfully, it's not my favorite flavor, but the honey makes it tolerable.
The throwing up stops. The ginger soothes the lining of the stomach, the cumin, honey, and peppermint stops the clutching, and the anise is soothing
to the lower tract.
It works every time. When someone, especially a kid can't keep anything down, you make this simple tea from things you should normally keep in your
spices anyway.
If you only have honey and ginger, that will work in a pinch. Oh. And after the hurlingi stops, a very good thing for them to sip on is - Ginger
Ale.
