On Tuesday, MSNBC’s Contessa Brewer fretted over health care reform protesters legally carrying guns: "A man at a pro-health care reform rally...wore a semiautomatic assault rifle on his shoulder and a pistol on his hip...there are questions about whether this has racial overtones....white people showing up with guns." Brewer failed to mention the man she described was black.
Following Brewer’s report, which occurred on the Morning Meeting program, host Dylan Ratigan and MSNBC pop culture analyst Toure discussed the supposed racism involved in the protests. Toure argued: "...there is tremendous anger in this country about government, the way government seems to be taking over the country, anger about a black person being president....we see these hate groups rising up and this is definitely part of that." Ratigan agreed: "...then they get the variable of a black president on top of all these other things and that’s the move – the cherry on top, if you will, to the accumulated frustration for folks."

MSNBC has been reportig on this story all day and implying that its all about the fact we have a black president.
Assault weapon refers to firearms that had been developed from earlier fully-automatic firearms into semi-automatic civilian-legal versions. Semi-automatic firearms, when fired, automatically extract the spent casing and load the next round into the chamber, ready to fire again; they do not fire automatically like a machine gun, rather, only 1 round is fired with each trigger pull.
I find it ridiculous to hold up people who happen to be white and say that they are protesting simply because of skin color. There is no evidence to support that. It's MSNBC deflecting from the issues of the protest and trying to make people out to be racist when in fact they know no such thing.

I find it ridiculous to hold up a single black man as some disqualifier.
White people can be racist against Blacks.
Some white people do dislike Obama because he is black.

Yes, and I agree that 'white and anti-obama' does not equal a racist.
Logic dictates, however, that:
White people can be racist against Blacks.
Some white people do dislike Obama because he is black.
People with these sorts of beliefs would be likely candidates to protest him as President.
Hence, there is no way to claim that a factor in the protests are, at least in some part, small or large, about racism.
It's wrong however, to dismiss the protestors simply as racist, because, that's just as wrong as pretending that racism does not exist.
The truth is alway grey, always complicated. The greatest sin of ignorance is to assume that something is as simple as black or white (no pun intended).

Are you still spewing this crap?
Either you are one angry black person or you are a white person that has been mentally beaten down into thinking that we as a white race must forever be apologitic to the black community and must admit that any disagreement between a white person and a black person is because the white person is a racist.
Either way you need some counseling.

So, the people who dislike Bush must be racist? I don't recall EVER hearing this logic the last 8 years.....
I thought I was pretty clear about saying that SOME people who dislike Obama could be racist. So yes, SOME people who disliked Bush, did so out of racism as well.

Keep throwing me on the ignore list. I will continue to call you out each time you decide to go on an all whites are racists rants.
You might as well keep me on that ignore list. Oh, and please stop playing the victim like you did in your last post.
