How To Make a Crop Circle.

Crop circles (a generic term for the phenomenon of flattened plants) form in many areas of the world, with visual effects ranging from irregular shapes to amazing geometric patterns. The source of their formation is surrounded by controversy (see How to Explain Crop Circles), but there are some crop circles out there that have definitely been made by people. If you've ever wanted to explore making crop circles as a skill and an art form, here's how!

A Wiki folk's it is not rocket science to make a good crop circle...
My 10 year old nephew could do this....

How Do You Make a Crop Circle? Crop circles appear to be very intricate formations, with many geometric shapes linked in sophisticated patterns. But the basics of crop-circle creation and the tools involved are actually fairly simple. In general, circlemakers follow the following steps: 1. Choose a location. 2. Create a diagram of the design (although some circlemakers decide to come up with an idea spontaneously when they arrive at their intended site). 3. Once they arrive at the field, they use ropes and poles to measure out the circle. 4. One circlemaker stands in the middle of the proposed circle and turns on one foot while pushing the crop down with the other foot to make a center. 5. The team makes the radius of the circle using a long piece of rope tied at both ends to an approximately 4-foot-long (1.2-meter) board called a stalk stomper (a garden roller can also be used). One member of the team stands at the center of the circle while the other walks around the edge of the circle, putting one foot in the middle of the board to stomp down the circle's outline.

Crop Circles for Profit Some circlemakers are turning their talent into a real business -- and making big profits from it. A team including artist and filmmaker John Lundberg, Rod Dickinson and Wil Russell travel all over the world making crop circles as advertisements for big corporations. Their client list includes a multibillion dollar computer-chip company, a car manufacturer and a digital television company. Although they won't divulge exactly how much they make per crop design, their budgets are in the hundreds of thousands of dollars.

all rubbish and needs to be dropped

Hasty conclusion, and your source material (wikihow?), while accurate in this case, shows that you haven't done much research...

Yep. Hopefully no one actually thinks that no crop circles are made by humans!

Oh such an original concept - you must have not seen the Discovery channel over the last 20 years. So you say you can build a crop circle with a piece of wood and a measuring tape. Are you positive that 100% of all crop circles were created with this method? Even if 99% of them were, there is still 1% that were created by 'something' else.

Well, I thought it was common knowledge people are capable of making crop circles. Though I tend not to get in this subject, crop circles are like UFO pictures and videos, some might be fake, some might be real. Either way, there will always be someone out there that doesn't believe its enough evidence, or even evidence.

By the way, I heard that some crop circles can't be done over night, but don't believe everything you hear.

Crop circles are a "Sign and Wonder" as the Bible states. I mean, how much more of a sign and wonder can something be? Crop circles are symbols, or signs and everyone wonders who makes them, and why, and how.

Who makes them? I don't now of course. I do think some are made by satellites. Maybe someone can decipher if microwaves are coming from a certain angle are forming. If so, might be a satellite.

I also think if someone REALLY wanted to get to the bottom of all this, they would. I'm sure, someone, somewhere can gather a few dozen people together and cover all the "hot spots" in England with video equipment and all. Let's face it, 2 people in 1 spot and 2 people in a different spot isn't going to do it. You're gonna need to put together many people over many locations over a certain amount of time. And since these circles are coming more and more, seems like the teams wouldn't have to wait very long.

But the fact that all the farmers don't get together and demand an answer is an answer in itself. Surely they gotta be losing money, right? Why don't they bitch and complain? Because they're getting reimbursed somehow, that's why.

But at the same time, they don't sit around during family picnics and say stuff like, "Yeah I gave $5000 to so-and-so for a publicity stunt”, or whatever. And if that was the case, that family member would leak it out somewhere along the line to somebody else, who would tell someone else.

I do believe that crop circles are a “sign and wonder” though and that means they’re part of a bigger picture and only 1 slice of the delusion.

It’s my belief that some croppies are done on ley lines, and when drawn together will form the most important coppie. Would be VERY interesting to see if the Great Pyramid was in the center of that hidden croppie, or maybe Stonehenge is! Oh the possibilities!
