Hardly...I just googled ACORN...
I

Part of the problem. Google is a part of them. They fund the Apollo Alliance. www.abovetopsecret.com...

Get your facts straight! Quit spilling this crap on ATS unless you have something to back it up.

Acorn is a group that likes to bully people who don't agree with them. Obama is very involved with them. Acorn is very corrupt and should not be getting any federal funding, but they're helping shape policy in the Obama administration via the Apollo Alliance.

OP, you are going in the right direction. You can only push one way or the other so far. Bush pushed hard to the right and now Obama and his Apollo cronies which includes ACORN are pushing hard left.

It is to throw us off balance. The powers do fear the American people. Because when the Center rises up their is nothing they can do. Standing army's don't stand a chance even with all the high tech they have.

Because when it comes down too it, only 5% on the extreme left Lib side would support anything against the people of the US if it broke out. And most of those would be the "tell on your neighbor" types like we have now.

There might only be 15 to 25% that will actually fight, but I don't know any army that could take on 40 million people on their own turf.

This is not trolling but I find it interesting to note that those who make the most noise about being patriots are the first to shout revolution and join militias...usually from an arm chair.

I believe you are referring to what I like to call KEYBOARD KOMMANDOES (with Action Avatars!!).

I have also heard them referred to as Pajamahadeen...love that one too!

The first shot fired marks the end of America as you know it. You think you are dissociated now? Take a look at the world of "Children of Men"...lock-ups and ghettoization. Careful you don't get what you hope for.

God help the world if half the American populace revolts...After all USA voted bush into Power Twice....A guy with as much intelect as a pea who could barely string a sentence togther. Do americans think two syables consitutes enough metal stamina to run a country?

If you do revolt against your corrupt, controlling, evil government and its instituations...please please please make sure that you don't replace it with a bunch of extremist guerrilla Christian red necks.

If any one needs a definition of "irony" in an essay....just write. America. Christian country (Apparently), Thou Shalt not Kill, Yet we bare arms and kill everyone anyway...even in our homes. That’s Ironic.

I have bad feeling that the next US President will be a toothless hack with a wooden leg with a penchant for moonshine that’s jacks up on crystal meth.

Trouble is our UK government is just the same,."Expenses, errrrr, duhhh! £2 + £2 = £100000, I need a new plasma TV , PS3 and some bitches with Champaign and a pool to perform my public function" Current world wide politicians are a bunch of corrupt , useless sacks of venom, knuckle dragging bags of turd. I have seen more ideas on running the world from infants!!!

The reason people are so angry is that Bush disappointed the vast majority of people. Obama was brought in to be a different direction and so far he's taking Bush programs and expanding them. People are are tired of this crap, they're tired of their standard of living going down and if these speical interests get their way it's going to go down even lower.

Blame all the ourbursts at the town hall meetings as "Astroturf" all you want and there probably is some of that going on to a degree, but I think the anger is very real and congress needs to start taking it more seriously. It's hypocritical to be slamming the right for "Astroturfing" when it's the left openly planting people, using ACORN/SEIU to bully people who disagree with them.

Acorn also played a role in the housing/financial crisis.

They wanted "Affordable housing for everyone" sounds like "Affordable healthcare for everyone". The majority of people that tried to put everyone in houses are now trying to do healthcare. Look at where we're at now and these people are going to give us healthcare? I don't think so.

I think you're wrong bro- and NO, I am not a left wing anything, if you knew me, you would know that.
I think you're wrong about TPTB fearing the American people, they do not. If they really feared you/me/us, they would have already enacted martial law, checkpoints, et cetera. So far, the Bush administration came closer to doing that stuff than any democrat admin. has in the past 100 years.

It was the GOP that came up with the patriot act, indefinate detention, wiretapping of Americans, Halliburton no bid contracts, KBR, and all the rest, Right?..

ACORN is no worse nor better than a dozen right wing special interest groups that thrived over the past 8 years or so.

You see, this is part of the bigger problem, WE CAN'T UNITE!

All we can do is demonize one side or the other. When what we need to do is unite against the entire system that was initiated by one group and continues under another, instead of pissing all over the left, which is what you're doing.

Either hate the system and what it's doing, or don't. But it's silly to direct all of your angst towards one half of the problem, such as the dems or the Gop, because they're all in it together. As long as we divide up into two major camps, they've already got all of us beat, to think otherwise is just silly.

What you don't seem to grasp, grover, is that for every person that goes to the Town Hall meetings and voices their displeasure, there are dozens (maybe even hundreds) that didn't go for whatever reason, yet are fully in agreement.

Also, those senior citizens are a HUGE voting block and there are thousands more that are almost there. I'm not Medicare age yet, but I can tell you, I sure don't want the government to decide I should just die because I might cost too much money.

Also, those at the Town Hall meeting with a COPY OF THE BILL IN HAND AND HAVE READ IT are asking questions the Reps can't answer and even ADMIT they have not read the bill. How do you think this looks to folks who really have not had a clue as to how Congress works? I can tell ya' just from the responses from my neighbors, both old and young, they are disgusted and mad as hell.

Same with those that attended the Tea Parties. For everyone that went, there were many that didn't go, but think the same way.

So, you just keep your rose colored glasses on and telling yourself this is no big deal, that the numbers aren't there to make any changes. People are sick and tired of this out of control government and they are starting to make their voices heard. I can think of numerous times in the last 20 or so years that the government did something the American people strongly disagreed with and overwhelmed the White House, their Senators and Reps with email, phone calls and letters and were totally ignored. And, whether you want to admit it or not, that arrogance on the part of the government over the years is coming to a head. Whether it will overflow into real violence and bloodshed, I don't know. I certainly hope not, but Congress would be well advised to heed the warnings.

I would start the Revolution myself if I was just little bit better off financially.

How am I wrong, excuse me, how am I sadly mistaken?

You’re already making excuses.

EVERYONE has an excuse.

You think the Forefathers of the USA waited until their lives were in order to start a Revolution?

If they had the USA would be serving tea at Starbucks.

The fact is it will take far more than higher taxes or a few loud mouths shouting revolt to cause an actual revolution in this country...

In case you haven't noticed even the poorest Americans are fat and happy in comparison to the poorest in the rest of the world and it will take a serious threat to that fat complacency to get Americans to rise up and overthrow the ancient regime...

And to date absolutely nothing has seriously threatened either our wallets or our stomachs...

IN FACT I would wager that it will not be an act or acts of government to bring about the fall of the old order in this nation but the depredations of the corporate world that the right so fanatically protects that will provide the proverbial straw that broke the camels back.

I feel the need to reiterate this...in case it got lost in the posts accusing me of trolling.

I by the way vote Democratic by default...the Republicans do not represent me and never have...the Democrats come closer but not by much.

No party represents what I consider as important...issues like social justice and the environment among others...and don't suggest the Green's...they are a joke here in America.

I have no faith in the Democrats but I have less faith in the Republicans...

I am however staunchly anti-corporate regardless of which party they are hiding behind.

Corporate predatory capitalism will be the ruin of us yet.

The fact is I agree that the system is nearing collapse and needs to be rebuilt from the ground up...

BUT the new ideas and the rebuilding...much less the tearing down is not going to come from either the right or the left...both are empty shells and devoid of ideas.

The new paradigm will come from those who have been left out of the dialogue all together.

Im pretty sure we have the same views, most of us here have the same mindset.
That being said, its hard to start a revolution when sourrounded by corn. When it starts a lot of us will have to drive there.

The only people 'rising up' are ignorant Fox News watchers and insurance companies hoping to kill any health care reform. It's hardly a mass uprising so lighten up Francis. If you don't like the direction the country is taking then run for office or become more involved in local politics instead of sitting around ATS reading loons talk about 'revolution' while their mother is calling them for dinner.

Harsh, but true. Ballots, not bullets. Let your rep know that they will be shipped back to the boondocks if they don't pay attention to you. They do still have to get elected, right? And like I said, the GOP should be revamping their platform...not fighting the last election all over again. And the Democrats should find some cojones and do what they were elected to do. And answer to the electorate.

Self edit to say the same applies to the Liberals up here...quit sucking up to the Neocons because they're afraid of a fight.

Even a broken clock is right twice a day. Obama does not want to debate these so called stupid people. He wants to sing to his own choir. What a sham! A convention of yes men will give Obama all the crediblity he deserves.

As long as we're just talking about revolution then the revolution has not started. Maybe the time for talk isn't done yet, eh?

If a violent revolution does start, we're screwed. As much as I like the idea of living away from the urban sprawl with my shotgun, its no match to an Apache or an Abrams. We need a non-violent revolution, so I guess we still need to talk because the unity to pull that off does not exist. We should be able to solve the problems by elections, except that Big Money buys both sides: their candidate always wins. The last two Presidents are a good example: Bush and Obama both seem to be pushing the NWO agenda. Bush bails out bankers and Obama continues the trend with health care. The PTB have split us against ourselves. We need to remove the real source of corruption: money. I know, it's crazy, but until we can get away, or past a monetary system the rich and greedy will always be in control. We should figure out how to get rid of the Federal Reserve and a credit ( debt ) based economy. The dollar is getting more worthless everyday and will continue to do so.

Liberals, conservatives, centrists - whoever, if you're mad- good. That's a start. We ARE moving towards socialism, or IMO, fascism, but you know what: no matter what system we have, as long as the few control the many then we will have problems.

I think what we really need is a paradigm shift, and that can't be forced. It will ( hopefully ) just happen.

Be open to critisism! Its good for the soul. Lets face the facts here....You guys in the US are not very popular over here at the moment. Especially among the people that actually look at history. Especially around the fact that US CIA Agents created al qaeda in the first place by f**cking with Afgans from the early 60's to late 70's. Have you ever wondered why there are some people so pissed with the west? No smoke without fire pal. Read some of your own countries history .... you may find it enlightening. Please do so before you start a revolution. So excuse me, for firing some "Points of concern" over your bow. But I think I have a right and a Flipin obligation to be concerned.

There is a good podcast from the Spy Museum or something like that in the US. For some reason these ex so called CIA agents take great pride in how they maniulated world politics to the detriment of everyone else. Again, you may be shocked at how much LITTLE INTELIGENCE or LACK OF INTELIGENCE your agencies have. You guys have a lot to learn about fostering relations before asking me to foster mine with you.

So, to conclude. You need to work on your relations with others.... not the other way round. Also, please read some world history....it may help. Again, the last thing the world needs is a some hill billies with shotguns trying to tell it what to do.

Im completley behind you by the way. But SELF AWARENESS is critical.

You wouldn't believe the momentum. Watch out hippies. Quite a few folks out there are heavily invested in this country and are sick of the pillaging.
