What one finds as accomplishment - another finds as a catastrophe.

This question can't be answered.

With that being said..did all of you forget what President we just got rid of??? In case you did let me refresh your memory.
Bush the alcoholic coke headed under achiever who's father got him everything he "earned". The Vietnam war deserter whose past has so many blanks he might as well be a clone. The guy who has a calendar that has a bushism for everyday. The man who helped and or orchestrated 9/11 which killed almost 3000 people and is continuing to kill the people who tried to help. Lied to the world about why we are in Iraq not to mention the millions of lives on his hands from that. The dude who's family is on the saudi payroll and friends with the Bin Laden's who are worse then osama in my book.

I hope this can jog your memory..I of course could make whole tread about this but I hope you get my point.
Obama was elected because he was and is better than the above mentioned mental case. Of course your not gonna like everything...hell I don't..but he's trying to do something...at least he's not on vacation most of the first year unlike somebody...just puttin it out there!

All this focus on Bush misses one important point: Bush had 8 years to screw up, but Obama has surpassed him in gaffes in a mere 6 months.

Show a true ignorance of reality. The Saudi king was actually comfortable in showing respect for Bush, following protocol, and was treating him as an equal, whereas scenes like this:



Show a subservient, beta male approaching with tail tucked between his legs and underbelly exposed, fawning for approval.

Enough of the Bush/Obama comparisons. Some of the issues I have with Obama are the myriad of lies he spread during the campaign:

As far as Iraq, Afghanistan, and Gitmo, he has merely followed the plan handed to him by Bush. Nobody is home yet for Iraq, he has escalated the war in Afghanistan, and Gitmo is still business as usual. He doesn't have a clue where to house the detainees.

Keep focusing on Bush. It will help to mask the disappointment you must have for Obama.

8) BALANCED BUDGET AMENDMENT-except in time of war-we are not
to be slaves to the government
9) We are to stay out of other countries business unless we are attacked,
THAN WAR MUST BE DECLARED
10) If any government official tries to enact any law that contradicts the
Constitution e.g. Patriot Act they shall be found guilty of TREASON and
hung IMMEDIATELY
11) ABOLISH FED enact a national bank where all profits are RETURNED TO
AMERICAN PEOPLE
12) NO FOREIGN OWNERSHIP OF ANYTHING IN MY COUNTRY-IF THEY OWN
IT NOW-THEY JUST FORFEITED IT-THAT INCLUDES FED

Now these have to be done to save our country, if we do not, we will cease to exist as a SOVEREIGN NATION. I believe we will fall within the next five years. If you disagree, give me the reasons you believe these things not to be true.

Act like your life and your childrens lives depend on it. THEY DO!

If I wanted to read political propaganda and opinion I can go to any number of political blogs or listen to talk radio. Is this what this website has become?
Crap like this - along with some of the responses - really makes you wonder about the other material listed on this website, the level of critical thinking of our citizens and lastly, the success rate of our education system in this country.

I think the real conspiracy here is this - how many people posting their wacked out political theories here are related to one another in some way?

It's good to see a President making changes that will further the cause of the middle class and poor. I'm tired of seeing stupid policies that keep making Americans suffer. We struggled to get health insurance for years, and didn't have any at all for about 14 years. Luckily, we and our kids were healthy enough. Not everyone is lucky. Health problems are the number one cause of bankruptcy. Perhaps the new program will have a stabilization effect on credit markets. I see it as visionary.

As far as his going to other countries and apologizing, etc. I see that as attempting to meet in the middle with a handshake. He seems to want to effect world peace, and I like that.

As far as the part about withdrawing support for Israel, I like that somewhat, also. I see Israel as a thorn in the side of the Middle East that was placed there to convert the Muslim world to Christianity. So far, it's working with the new moderation of Iraq. However, I am against this. Israel prevents anyone from being a citizen of their country unless they are born qualified Jewish. That policy would not stand in the US, but I never hear of criticism of that policy. I see us as funding/supporting/defending a nation that is against other Semites other than Jews, hence anti-Semitic. I see it as a country that is against Gentiles, as well, other than receiving their foreign aid, protection, and tourism. Holy Land or not, to me it is more trouble than it is worth. Usually we withdraw support from countries that do not conform to basic human liberties and toleration, not to mention human rights. I don't see that happening with Israel until now under Obama. I think he's just being consistent, and fair. Mainstream Christianity in the US is afraid to release support for Israel due to Bible prophecies. However, the situation was created artificially by the British circa 1900 and completed in 1948 as recompense for the holocaust. Israel did not conquer the land, like in the book of Joshua, but was rather given it as a gift.

The Obama plan has also helped in the mortgage crisis. Millions of Americans were affected by Wall Street and bad policies of financial institutions. Those of us who were set for life with a plan had all these plans destroyed by bad loans to others. We lost our jobs because of others, our companies failed because of others. It seems fair enough to me to stabilize the mortgage situation by government support, while the administration digs into what caused the problem to begin with, and establishes new rules for lending and Wall St to prevent a recurrence. The original Depression was caused by a different problem, and that problem was solved at the time. If we can eliminate enough of these possible recurrences, without destroying the economy in the process, we can have a safer and happier America.

This President hit the ground running, and I say we support him. He's doing a fantastic job, considering what was handed to him six months ago.

Speaking of the alcoholic thing someone said about Bush...whats up with Obama drinking beer at basketball games in public and "having a beer" with some one on the Whitehouse lawn????
