The world is not hearing about the southern hemisphere, because the people who think they matter live in the northern hemisphere.

H1N1 hit OZ and NZ, that is for sure, and the world heard about it.

But I may as well be speaking another language.

Again;

www.whale.to... 1: SWINE FLU ANOTHER MEDICALLY-MADE EPIDEMIC

Read it. So many med techs have worked on this and so many honest doctors have come forward. There is a ton of information in it, names, dates, schools, government organizations, watchdog groups and so on. If everyone would just use some common sense and STOP calling it Swine FLu as it is definitely BIRD FLU, "H" is a BIRD GENE, "N" is a HUMAN GENE.

My uncle had a hog farm and I worked on it for years, hogs and pigs are the cleanest animals on the planet, they have to be, they live in the filthiest conditions!!! Their immune systems are so strong, if you inject them with any foreign body they either die or become horribly uncontrollable. They share 98% of the same DNA we have. So what do you think, is it still "swine flu"?

I have friends who work at the VA and a local university. They are doctors and professors. We have discussed this at length and had a good laugh. None of them will be getting the vaccination even if it means their jobs, they are very steadfast on that. I don't think they will lose their jobs and niether will I. Too valuable to the organization.

Please come to your senses and stop this nonsense.

Thanks -shall Read Up!! -its a little confusing this whole topic is soooo "contoversial"

I started getting sick last Saturday. I have had a low grade fever, sore throat, minimal coughing, body aches and sever fatigue. Everyone is saying there is no other flu going around except H1N1 but my Dr.s receptionist said I probably did not have H1N1 because the fever associated with it is very high, like 104. All I know is I feel like crap!

I've been to the Doctor and confirmed I have H1N1. I am finely feeling a little better today. Missed out on alot of Alt. news these past few days though

Retro,

I have a few questions I'd like to ask you if you don't mind. Before I do, I want to apologize in advance if any of these questions have already been answered or asked as I've only been reading YOUR posts in this thread - when I read a thread of this nature, I'm not really interested in other people's opinions or rants. I also want you to know, that I'm not trying to insult you, criticize you, discredit you or bait you in any way. You might get this impression from the nature of the questions I'm about to ask you. Please don't be offended by these questions either. But most importantly, please don't write these questions off as insane, unfounded, or down right idiotic, as I have heard things that may seem that way from other sources that appear more credible than you (appear) - no offence intended - that would make these questions relevent to this particular topic.

Here are the questions:

(1) What race are you?

(2) What is your age?

(3) Can you (if you remember) outline every single thing you've eaten or drank during your ordeal with this flu, and (if possible or to the best of your ability) during the week leading up to your first symptom? Preferably what you had and on what day.

(4) Can you outline every single activity you have participated in during your ordeal with this flu, and (if possible or to the best of your ability) during the week leading up to your first symptom. And on what days these ocurred on.

(5) Do you live alone? If not, who with?

(6) Have you recently come into contact with someone who has visited Mexico and/or any of the U.S. States bordering Mexico and/or any other Latin American country? [This one's kinda obvious, but I just want to make sure.]

(7) Have you recently come into contact with anyone who works at a pig farm, and/or anyone who handles RAW pork, and/or anyone who may have recently come into contact with anyone who works at a pig farm, and/or anyone who handles RAW pork? [Again, kinda obvious, but still.]

(8) Do you smoke cigarettes?

(9) Do you do any recreational drugs that you might have obtained from a 3rd-party (i.e. marijuana, hash, coc aine, etc.)? [Taking into account that you are indeed a microbiologist, but still.]

(10) Can you keep us posted on your progress on a day-to-day basis by providing info on your diet and other activities.

Please answer all questions. Thank you.

Dear Retro ~ Thank you for posting about this! Whether natural or man made, flu can be a killer!
My grandfather when he was quite young lost his hearing during the 1918 flu epidemic. As a young girl of nine I almost died in February, 1957 of pneumonia that started with a flu. Because of the info from Dr. True Ott (videos at www.H1Flu.com) I will not take a flu shot or drug. I am taking 1200 mg. (capsule form) of NAC (Cysteine, an amino acid) every day to help my immune system. (Child: 600 mg. a day) This also helps our lungs. Blessings to you all! Shalom!

I hate to say this and I'm truly sorry if I am wrong..

Your writing sounds a lot like another person on ATS. I follow all the stories here and there is a Person or Persons that have the exact same style of writing you have.

The reason I doubt your story is that you really have no idea if you have what you say you have. If you were truly who you say you are then you would know not to jump to any conclusions about what you have or haven't got. In fact, if you were a professional at your Job you would know exactly what you have before anyone else would? Am I right?

I know I'd be looking into what I had and it should be really easy for you to find out. You'd have access to all the information that I don't have access too.

Anyhow, Just my thoughts on your comments. Maybe I was just born to doubt but it's got me through so far and I really doubt your story. If that offends anyone, I am truly sorry.

More questions:

(11) Have gotten the flu shot within the past 12 months, or in previous years? If so, when?

(12) Have gotten any other type(s) of vaccination(s) within the past 12 months? If so, what and when?

(13) Are you under any medication (prescribed or otherwise) at the moment? If so, what and how much?

(14) Have you taken any medication (prescribed or otherwise) within the past 12 months? If so, what and when and how much?

That is the dumbest thing I have ever heard. H and N are the antigens presented on the surface of the virus. every flu virus has H and N (haemagluttinin and neuraminidase). Period. People on this board absolutely crack me up sometimes, you all want to believe in something so bad you turn to references that have absolutely no background, nor base.

Im cured. Kicked the rest of the symptoms yesterday. No cough, no fever, no anything. I took it easy over the weekend and rested up as much as I could to make sure that I have this thing whipped once and for all. I dont want a relapse infection. Total of about 10 days of severe symptoms including fever, malaise, horrible coughing and phlegm. Good luck to you all, I wish those who may be immunocompromised the best.

Here are the questions:

(1) What race are you?
-White
(2) What is your age?
-25
(3) Can you (if you remember) outline every single thing you've eaten or drank during your ordeal with this flu, and (if possible or to the best of your ability) during the week leading up to your first symptom? Preferably what you had and on what day.
-I eat mainly pastas and chicken. I'm a 25yo single bachelor in a big city, most of my $ goes toward things that seem a lot more important than food lol.
(4) Can you outline every single activity you have participated in during your ordeal with this flu, and (if possible or to the best of your ability) during the week leading up to your first symptom. And on what days these ocurred on.
-Basically, it was my birthday weekend and I was out and about for three straight days and thats what I originally thought caused the sickness but as they persisted past day 3, then 5 and then 7 I knew it was something more serious. Especially with the cough that developed. Ive never, ever coughed like that before. It seriously hurt and left me gasping for air.

(5) Do you live alone? If not, who with?
-alone
(6) Have you recently come into contact with someone who has visited Mexico and/or any of the U.S. States bordering Mexico and/or any other Latin American country? [This one's kinda obvious, but I just want to make sure.]
-a collegue at work recently attended a conference in san antonio, and they are the one that I am pretty sure passed it on to me.
(7) Have you recently come into contact with anyone who works at a pig farm, and/or anyone who handles RAW pork, and/or anyone who may have recently come into contact with anyone who works at a pig farm, and/or anyone who handles RAW pork? [Again, kinda obvious, but still.]
-not that I am aware of
(8) Do you smoke cigarettes?
-never
(9) Do you do any recreational drugs that you might have obtained from a 3rd-party (i.e. marijuana, hash, coc aine, etc.)? [Taking into account that you are indeed a microbiologist, but still.]
-nope
(10) Can you keep us posted on your progress on a day-to-day basis by providing info on your diet and other activities.
-my diet remained the same although diminished appetite. I probably only ate once a day for the 10 days and it was a rather small portion. The second 5 days my stomach was turned on end and I forced myself to eat.

Please answer all questions. Thank you.

(11) Have gotten the flu shot within the past 12 months, or in previous years? If so, when?
-never ever had a flu shot in my life

(12) Have gotten any other type(s) of vaccination(s) within the past 12 months? If so, what and when?
-anthrax and botulinum pentavalent within last 2 months.
(13) Are you under any medication (prescribed or otherwise) at the moment? If so, what and how much?
-never take meds
(14) Have you taken any medication (prescribed or otherwise) within the past 12 months? If so, what and when and how much?
-ever take meds.

Good luck finding someone that has the credentials as a molecular biologist that I do. Let me know when you find them as I would love to meet them.

First of all, i only read the first page but i sure hope you are better.

I started a thread myself a few days ago and it became a joke, as all my threads are never taken seriously, but hey, i'm not looking for sympathy, not at all.

Here's some of what i said: I went to the hospital and i was in and out in less than 10 minutes flat. I also have had the high fevers, the profuse sweating ( and i mean SWEAT pouring off me), the whole 9 yards.
I was treated immediatly when i dragged myself in and normally, something that would take half the day, took me less than a few minutes.
The dr, did not take xrays, only listened to my lungs, and i was in a different room this time than the norm. Its closer to the front area. Anyhow, i was given full priority, given a Z-pack and wished well.
In and out.
I took my first dose, thats 2 pills this morning, and the rest to follow.

I dont know what i have but i was practically something they didnt want to deal with.

The dr said i had bronchitis since i've had it before, and that was it.

Here's my questions: I've had Bronchitis before and always told a Z-pack wouldnt work for that.

They couldnt wait to get me out of there.

I thought the whole thing was a bit interesting. To the OP, can you shed some light?
I know you have your own problems, and i wish you well, but if you could give me a sense of what happened, why the rush, i'd appreciate it.

Also the RX given to me is questionable.

Good luck and thank you.

So no i'm isolated in my hut in the woods, actually an apartment in a mid sized Norwegian town riding it out.

Im no expert on antibiotics, but I believe Z-pack is for bacterial infections?

But they wouldn't be able to distinguish between viral/bacterial without running some sort of tests.

I took a friend to the hospital a few months ago with a 104 degree temperature... doctor didnt even check him out. They put him in a room, doc walks in and says 'yep its the flu' walks out. End of story.

I really think the vast majority of doctors now a days are absolute quacks, hence why I take no antibiotics nor ever see one unless I am borderline dying. Its your body, and if there is anything in this world you should be able to successfully troubleshoot all by yourself... its that.

Maybe if we started paying them $10 an hour they might take their time and run the necessary tests, instead of trying to plow through as many patients as possible as they try to scoop up as many copays as they can. buuuuulll#.

I am an RN and, like many others, are teaching people how to heal themselves be it as Nurse Energy Healers, Holistic Health Practitioners, Naturopaths, etc. The MSM is now saying that doctors and nurses who refuse the vaccine are jeopardizing the lay person's health. I'm certainly hoping that most people don't believe that. For the record, this is another MSM 'shot in the dark.' I will say it here and now that there is a LARGE group of us that are out there giving people a lot of real data. 90% of the RN's role is to EDUCATE the public. Like most matters, if you're talking to an idiot nurse or doctor all they can say is, "It's safe. It could prevent a disease, yada yada." The INTELLIGENT majority can produce VOLUMES of literature on why you SHOULDN'T vaccinate. If anyone wants to be well it is in their power. The basics work miracles: water, real food, fresh air, sunlight and exercise. I must say that this is where I draw the line. The MSM is completey DEGRADING THE NURSING PROFESSION by showing a smiling, pregnant nurse practitioner who says she will take the shot to protect her and her unborn child. Don't believe it! I don't want to give a whole lecture here but remember, folks, WE WORK FOR YOU!
