Anyway, I can read Morse code. I learned it while doing a brief stint in the Salvation Army. Oddly, these signals are in Spanish. But that's OK. I can read that too. Albondigas, yes it definitely says albondigas......meatballs something. I am so sure, I'd stake my credibility on it. Or maybe I'm just hungry.

No, it is no longer a requirement for a HAM license in the US. Other countries many vary.

Long ago, in a time that now seems far away, I was an "Extra" class ham... focusing mostly on CW (morse code). I was getting to the point of a reliable 40 wpm, at that level you stop hearing the individual beeps of the letters, and start recognizing the sounds of full words and abbreviations.

Sadly... that skill has fallen.

Just chiming in to say the new ATS logo rotation is very cool.
