here is an interesting bit of news.

Given the exact same hardware, otherwise, a q6600 (2.4 gig) processor runs about 10 C hotter than a q9650(3.0 gig).

Both units are quad-cores.

That is one of the differences between 65nm and 45nm chips.

In electronics size does matter.

You are correct, of course.

This is just a dramatic way of seeing it.

I also am happy these numbers are on "stock air cooling".
