Was Abu Ghraib suppose to happen?

After reading the report I don't see how the abuse at Abu Ghraib and other compounds could not be expected to happen. No Leadership, No Training, No Disipline, Lack of Personel, Lack of Equipment. You have a group of people that are getting ready to go home and then tell them that not only are they not going home, but that they are going to be doing a job that they are not prepared or equipped to do properly.

I always questioned the logic of opening a second front when we were not done in Ahfganistan. We wasted any good will that may have been generated by getting rid of Saddam by NOT HAVING ANY PLAN ON WHAT TO DO ONCE SADDAM WAS GONE. You do not use front line soldiers for police work, they are not trained or equipped for such a role. We should not have to have our people calling home asking for body armour or having to make there own for the HumVees.

The timing of the pictures: The first ones to come out allows some people to say how horrible we are and some people to say that what they see is not really so bad. Then we get some pictures that show some horrible scenes, once again more proof for one side but these pictures turn out to be fake. Now we are waiting for the next batch of pictures that I'm sure are going to show some pretty nasty things.

So now whenever any evidence comes out, is it true or is it a fake, is it torture or is it not so bad as what colud have been done? Are we just being played off against each other so that we don't look past the pictures and into what allowed conditions to get to the point that what is shown in the pictures could happen in the first place?

I've said sometimes people really are just stupid and not everything is the work of some hidden group, but this is starting to strain even my idea of stupidity and coincidence being behind most things.

I blame ATS for this, here I am fat dumb and happy and you guys make me go out and check things out, to start looking into things. I am not trying to link this to NWO, Masons, ect... I just want to focus on this series of events.

I understand about members ideas of who could be behind these actions. Whoever, Whatever, I just want to focus on the idea that the Iraq plan from the look of it was designed to be a failure, the effect can be used in many schemes.
