Lebanese Army's shock: National Internet routed through… Haifa

www.debka.com

A large Lebanese army force which raided the Lebanese Internet network center on Mt. Barukh east of the Lebanese town of Jezzine Saturday, Aug. 8 was dismayed to discover the exchange center which carries all of Lebanon's Internet links using equipment made in Israel. An intelligence sweep found the servers were routed to an exchange center in Haifa.

After the mass meeting in israel about security issues, this comes to light. Things in the middle east are getting pretty interesting right now. Israel has had full control over all internet movement in Lebanon for who knows how long now.

What are your thoughts on this issue? IMO, this could be something that pushes hezbolah to start setting those (supposed) 40,000 rockets they have stockpiled loose on Israeli cities.

I have been following stories on debka for a few years now. And although I cannot verify that all of them are true, I can personally verify that all the stories I have paid attention to on the site have ended up being 100% accurate.

However, I am still open (very much) to the idea that this could be a hoax or a bogus story because as of right now it is not being reported from any other sources. I'll keep an eye out for sources an if I find more, I'll post them.

You mean those 40,000 homemade fireworks, they will sure bring terror to the Jews
and the Jews with their weapons of mass destruction (made in US) will rain flowers over Lebanon, who ever gets hit by the flowers will straight away become a Jew then everyone will live happily ever after.

WOW what a tale. Funny if it happens..

Actually, you are referring to Hamas with the firecrackers statement. Hizbullah on the other hand is well funded and has a massive arsenal of missiles, not rockets, missiles. Iran, and Syria fund Hizbullah and Hizbullah even has its own research and development sector. You remember the Israeli Lebanese war of 2006? It would more accurately be referred to as the Israeli/Hizbullah war of 2006. And we saw the end result of that. And Hizbullah didnt even use missiles that time.

Love and Peace

Well I haven't exactly been supporting the Israeli government as much these days. I still support an Israeli state. but the supporting of that state and the supporting of the current government are 2 different things.

None the less, unless they find evidence of any tampering, I don't honestly care.

EDIT
