Controversy pays. People like Beck are entertainers first, commentators second.

One thing I've always found odd is often people don't know the difference between opinion and editorial people and news reporters. Or is it they don't want to know?

Both the Left and the Right are littered with some of the most insane commentators imaginable.

All the MSM does is put out information. People who get all up in arms about it are just lying for attention. Gossiping because they enjoy tearing others down to make themselves feel bigger. Both side need to grow up.

Such a big deal was made because he was black.

He reaped the rewards of his color. Do you realize how many black baseball players were passed over before Jackie Robinson was chosen to be the first? He had to set the example, he had to have the utmost of character. Because if Jackie Robinson failed it might have been a long time before someone else got the chance.

Obama had the chance to set a great example for his successors, and he blew it.

This is right off the top of my head. These people were selected as the first because of their character and previous acheivements.

Obama was selected solely based on the color of his skin, if a white Democrat with the same qualifications attempted a run like he did, he would have been laughed out of town. He was a community organizer for crying out loud!

Blacks had a field day the last election, they had excitement and "hope" for "change", and they didn't get it...next election for them will be...been there done that. The same goes for the "white guilt" voters....been there done that.

I don't see anything really racist in what he said. Its just an opinion. Although I completely disagree with it. And what exactly is white culture? I'm half black and half white and I don't really know what the modern day culture is for either side... everything is blended together nowadays. Like for instance I have some black friends that do lots of things that would be considered "white culture" I guess and I have many white friends who are into things considered "black culture" (and by culture I'm talking about music, movies, books and stuff like that). There isn't really any definitive "culture" thats related to race atleast in the US there isnt as far as I can see. Maybe in like europe or africa, but not here. Or maybe my definition of culture just is different than this guys. OR maybe I'm analyzing this to much, which I think just may be the case, lol.

And to the guy that said "blacks had a field day this election"... what does even mean? Are you saying we all support Obama? Because thats not the truth at all,I and NO ONE I know out of about 100 people voted for Obama. There is a HUGE amount of black people who don't like Obama. We aren't idiots and we see right through him. Also all of us aren't liberal, I and most my friends consider ourselves conservative. So you aren't blaming Obama winning on us, hell no! People from all races, colors and social classes voted for him. It was also all the young people that voted that got him the election. And BTW by saying I am conservative doesn't mean I supported bush or voted for mccain, I think they are all idiots. I just have a lotof conservative views but I in no way support most conservative politicians. You are a blind sheep if you do. I and most people I know who are black would love to have a black president, as long as hes a man of the people, which Obama isnt. So please don't assume all blacks are happy to have this man in the white house. You making that comment proves to me that you don't know a single black person in person, you just form all your views of us from crap on TV (which are all stupid stereotypes, btw).

Who said a black person can't be considered racist? I've known some black guys who are racist and I think they are idiots, just like white racists. We don't need racism in this day and age. And also for everyones info most black people don't call ourselves african american lol. We call ourselves black. And a lot of white people seem to assume all black people support people like Jesse Jackson and people like that, when in reality a lot of black people can't stand those guys at all! We think people like that enforce the stereotype that all black people blame everything on race and racism. Which isn't the case for most people. We aren't living in the 50s anymore, me and many of my friends came from a ultra poor area and got off our asses and worked and got outta there. No racism held us back.

I know I am just ranting but I just wanted to say there is A LOT of black people who think its stupid to pull the race card over everything. The whole professor Gates ordeal recently is a example of that. Its actally kind of EMBARASSING to some of us when people pull the race card over everything. The reason it pisses us off is because there is some REAL racism there in the world, and the people who yell racism at everythng make the people with real racial profiling cases look like idiots.

Also a lot of white people seem to use this to justify being racist they say stuff like "well black guys say anti white things and they aren't called racists", when in reality these black guys ARE racist. Imo any racist no matter what color is a stupidass and needs to grow up and get their brain out of the dark ages.

Yeah I pretty much agree with all that. Thats what I was trying to say there isnt really any "cultures" as far as cultures around race or color. In like tribes and stuff there is but not in most the world. And as far as the color/race thing I usually don't refer to myself as either color but for the sake of argument on websites like this sometimes I will refer to myself as black or white, because I am both.

Another thing I find kind of funny is everyone on this site talks about not following mainstream media and stuff but then when someone on mainstream media who is on their side does something all of a sudden they all agree with him. That didn't really explain what I was thinking but I'm sure you know what I mean.

Anyways its late I gotta get off this damn website!! lol

Tombstone was considered a large town for the time, funny as that sounds. It has a population of 15k, but they said they think it was actualy more like 30,000 with the Chinese.
