The AFL-CIO has called on its union affiliates to defend lawmakers’ health care reform Town Hall meetings from “Corporate…mob rule” in recent days.
AFL-CIO President John Sweeney sent out a memo this week outlining a blue-print for union members to counter the campaign of fear and intimidation in which hired thugs are infiltrating health care town hall meetings to heckle, disrupt and even physically assault health care reform advocates.
“We want your help to organize major unions to counter the right-wing ‘Tea Party Patriots’ who will try to disrupt those meetings as they

Wait a minute. Organizations like the AFL-CIO and ACORN can organize rallies and protests to get their point across and thats ok. When people against a government run healthcare system organize and protest to get their voices heard they are called an unruly mob? It doesn't get more hypocritical than that.
This is America, people have the right to protest against the government. These are not mobs as you put it. These are normal Americans that are tired of government intrusion into their lives.
To be honest, I feel that we in America have no individualism any more.
The Anti-healthcare people are all being told what to say in an organized fashion and being bussed in.
The Unions (who rightfully negotiate health care as part of their compensation) are now responding.
When did Town Halls become something were you would see people not from your town?

I want proof, of this statement, coming from a Union that is heavily invested in this administration and health care policy isn't going to cut it.
I want pictures of these people getting off the bus.
The double standard has to stop. Saying that these thousands of people are being bushed in and organized by Big Pharma or who ever just isn't cutting it anymore.
Proof that these are organized by the "evil corporations".
A 13-state tour aiming to rally patients to speak out against President Barack Obama's desired health-care overhaul is scheduled to kick off in Richmond this weekend.
Americans for Prosperity's "Patients First" bus tour will start Saturday at a Richmond-area Tea Party, before traveling around the country and through the states of key U.S. senators in the health-care debate, said Ben Marchi, state director of Americans for Prosperity.
Organizers will urge constituents to call or visit their senators and sign a petition that asks members of Congress to "oppose any legislation that imposes greater government control over my health care that would mean fewer choices for me and my family and even deny treatments to those in need."
The bus, covered with a giant red hand print and a message that reads: "Hands Off My Health Care," is slated to make 26 stops in Virginia.
Organizing for America, a grass-roots organization set up by the Democratic National Committee, also has held events in the state. They are calling on Congress to pass a comprehensive health-care bill.
After departing Virginia, the "Patients First" bus will travel to North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Indiana and Louisiana, Marchi said. Another bus will travel to Nebraska, Colorado, South Dakota, North Dakota, Montana, Iowa, Arkansas and Missouri.
