Today, during lunch, the time and date will read 12:34:56 7/8/9.

But the event has had doom merchants predicting all sorts of grim outcomes, from the birth of Satan to the end of the world.

At least eight Facebook groups have been dedicated to the numerical moment, including one named WHOO! Party Like It’s 12:34:56 07/08/09.

Although the date is unusual, I don't believe in this kind superstition, but I know plenty here will be creative and try to connect something.

Following their marriage, I believe we should have a divorce counter to see when it ends. Over-under is one year.

Whatever makes people happy...

I'm guessing that by 07/08/09 that she means August 7, 2009.

Here in the US that designation means July 8, 2009.

But, she may be on to something.

Quite a few folks are heralding the end of the recession.
