Art is a LIE

I disagree, some art is a lie but to say all art is a lie I would say is a lie in itself.

Here's what a great artist had to say about art, and I agree with him...

Only a true artist at heart knows what art really is, and I think MJ described art so perfectly in that quote I have yet to hear art described like this anywhere else, he says art is, "the union between the material and the spiritual", this is why it is sometimes so abstract, so hard to understand, it's a description of the 5th+ dimensions perhaps, being an artist I have met many people that have zero respect for art, those people I can see also have zero respect for spirituality, I believe they can be one and the same.

The sad fact is that many people actually consider the rubbish you mentioned as art. Corporate art is a total scam - there is no intrinsic value to it, other than to push an agenda. Crap art is what you see in movie theatres, on television and what you hear on the radio. True art is a recorded history of a civilization.

Ever wonder why true art is only appreciated by certain members of a society? If you want real lies, listen to your Government and mainstream media - they wrote the book on dishonesty.

You forgot to tell me that the phrase "Klaatu Barada Nikto" does not appear in the remake. If you tell me that then I may realise it was a remake.

The topic of the thread is how the artist use lies to tell the truth.....

Politicians lie, always have done and we are born into a society of lies, a brainwashed society and so artist use occult (hidden) symbolism within their works to which many artists and writers were and still are members of secret societies and so were privy to knowledge which they use.

Art is something that starts in ones mind and then is projected in many different forms to others via a creative process eg Painting, Drawing, Music, Literature, Films, Stage, etc....

But as I've mentioned previously in this thread it is extremely dumbed down at present which is probably the feeling you have.

I really dont understand the concept of saying you disagree with me and then giving me the same opinion as my OP.

Is it because the thread is called "Art is a lie" yet the thread is about the truth behind the art that is confusing you?

On the theme of "something else working through" art; on the night of Kurt Cobain's death (I won't say suicide) I had to write a poem for a college poetry writing and editing workshop, I wrote a poem called "Poylp, cut off" which had no conscious connection to Cobain. I had no idea he had died. When I got to class people were talking about it. When the class got around to workshopping my poem several people found all these Nirvana references and suicidal references that I had not in any way intended. It was a poem about my own relationship with my mother. It was a bit dark but, wow. Not THAT dark. At least as I intended it. It was undeniable that the poem was about Kurt though. It was. In a 20 line poem there were about 5 or 6 Nirvana lyrics or titles--several I didn't even know. I think I wrote it slightly before, during and after his death. (It was a process, but a relatively short one.) One or two or even three refernces, I call it an interesting coincidence. This was downright creepy. Art is something else alright. Something comes through that is connected in ways we can't consciously know. Thanks for this interesting thread. ATS really gets ya thinkin don't it.

I wouldn't say that art in its present state is "dumbed down", because I do not consider that propaganda stuff art to begin with. Others may call it art, but those others are just a bunch of flunkies who do not know any better. Or, as I mentioned earlier, those others are the ones with the agenda.

I have a lot of friends in bands who write their own stuff and would knock the socks off any one in the charts but its just the same old manufactured rubbish dumbing down society.

The Government does not want music or art that makes people think they like the music moguls want someone who looks pretty, does as they are told and sells records, t-shirts, posters and concert tickets.

Its just business and its leading society into an idiocracy.

Influences from "Daniel Johnston" if you do not know who he is then here is a picture of Kurt Cobain Wearing one of his T-Shirts




This guy was writing about "Planet X" 25 years ago in songs like "Jelly Bean" and "Rocket Ship Cobain of Nirvana (Awakening) probably got the idea for "Territorial Pi**ing from him, which is about life being one big alien experiment. Love the lyric "Just because you're paranoid Don’t mean they're not after you", kinda answers the question of where the "Foo Fighters" (WW2 UFO's) got their name from.

Heres the crazy thing about Daniel Johnston.... He's actually a "Paranoid Schizophrenic" there's a good film about his life, "The Devil and Daniel Johnston" Funny thing is what you see in this thread is the "secret to creativity" and is what the Schizophrenic's have been saying for years.

Isn't that the perfect conspiracy that no one beleives, religion, little green men and a big conspiracy everyone is in on......

The truth is in the arts, oh dear your detached from reality and entering Psychosis nobody understands the "27 Club's" message. I wonder if the illuminati really did kill them.



But back to my freinds....

We also have "Piper & Beatpharm" you will notice on their tracklisting is a remix of "Bohemian Grove" by the "High Rankin" who I mentioned before.

And just recently Ive done a remix of a track called "Roundy" for an Israel based outfit called "Sattel Battle"

I could go on more for you if you wish and I know you will probable say you have never heard of any of this as we are not on MTV.

Thats the idea of the underground music scene.
