Nigeria survivors describe night of terror by sect

news.yahoo.com

MAIDUGURI, Nigeria – They came in the night, screaming as they attacked policemen and soldiers in a series of assaults that escalated into a bloodbath that left more than 700 people dead.

Victims described the July 26 onslaught to The Associated Press Tuesday, detailing highly coordinated and ruthless attacks by the radical Islamist sect, Boko Haram.

From hospital beds with family members kneeling at their feet, survivors said attackers used guns, knives and machetes — the latter to avoid accidentally shooting each other — as they swept through military barracks, police stations, h

This is an example of something called "Murder Night". I suspect that such an event occured within many American cities in the 70s. This event was unsuccessful for the violent Islamic aggressor, but in the past they've been successful enough that the victims were not even aware of what had happened.

This is an ancient technique and you all get to be witnesses to it on a small scale and without being affected by it. Consider yourselves to be fortunate. The real Murder Nights takes place over a three day period and it is Global. From what I've been able to gather from various sources is that the real sign is the Sun Rising in the West, but I haven't been able to determine the true nature of that particular event; its happened before according to many.

Apparently the perpetrators warned the community before it came. I think this may have been a practice run. Something bigger is coming soon; don't get caught up.

Yikes
This is terrifying! I really hope this doesn't happen where I am or i'll have to fine or build a safe place to hide out. Maybe a panick room is in order. What kind of muslim population relative to the overall does there have to be before this happens? I guess its decent of them to warn people.

It's a sneak attack on steriods.

From what I can gather, they start at the Top of the pyramid and then work their way down.

I've heard it written as they "will descend from every height" of power. Those who are not destroyed immediately will be given the choice of submission to Islam or death.

Why is it that every time Muslims commit an attrocity they're labeled as Islamic terrorists? Why wasn't Timothy Mcveigh labelled as a Catholic terrorist? Why aren't countless guerilla armies in Africa labelled as Christian/Catholic extremist? They're only labelled as guerrilla, extremist groups etc. Anytime somebone named Ahmed does something bad he is automatically a Muslim terrorist. But if a man named Mohammed wins the nobel prize then he is not called a Muslim. I'm so sick of the propaganda.

Shame on yourself for spreading such nonsense.

Timothy McVeigh was certainly characterized as a terrorist, he was the first person they used the phrase "home grown" with regards to terrorism and his background and association with militias and supremacy groups was widely publicized. That he was found with the book the Turner Diaries was even mentioned.

Dick Cheney even brushed off Pope John Paul II request to spare his life from execution and made it quite clear that this guy is definately going to die.

In Nigeria last week, only Nigerians died. These people launched a sneak attack against their own community for no other reason that they don't like the pace of the move to implement Sharia law in their community.

That is Terror and being an Apologist for a gang of criminals that has dressed itself up as pious men is equally appalling.

I'm not saying it's not terror. I'm asking why is it being called Muslim terror? If it were Christians/Catholics committing the attrocity they wouldn't be labelled religiously. That's all I'm saying.

Maybe if I keep calling them that Muslims who are upset at hearing it will do something about the people who are waging a far more successful war against that religion than Western Armies ever could have.

This is happening everywhere from Western China to Western Africa to Australia (all in the last few weeks) and in every place they say, "We are Muslims"

What did you expect them to be called?

Oh believe you me- they would be 'categorized' if and when acts of terror were committed in the name of/for the sake of 'their God and/or religious belief'.

As a defender of 'Catholics', trust me it happens all the time- and its historically correct too! Ever heard of 'the Spanish Inquisition'?

I understand your frustration completely but I sincerely dont believe that the OP had ill intent. Thats all

Who says that their acts are committed in the name of their God? That's what the media is saying. Some media also report that blowing up innocent people is written in the Qu'ran. If people actually read the Qu'ran they would be surprised to find out that it's one of the most intelligent and reasonable religious book ever written.

Well, they dress in traditional Muslim attire, their house of worship was called a Mosque, the leader's name was Mohammed Yusuf and they refer to themselves as Nigerian Taliban. They even lived in a part of Nigeria which is home to many Muslims...who oddly enough were not spared from the violence.

I am not sure why the world has to tip toe through what is obviously a Islamic driven global military offensive. Under the pretext of revenge for the deaths of two Uighur factory workers a similar outburst occured in China not even two weeks ago.

Reasonable that religion may be, but some of it adherents are not anywhere close.
