Ha! That's nothing compared to the non-existent money printing or the bad-paper-passing that's been corrupting the market for years. Honestly, they should all be stoned publically and burned at the stake.

On with the revolution already.

I was never a democrat, but you can bet I was lumped in with the rest of you, I can’t remember how many family members and friends who told me it was all anti-bush rhetoric or media spin, while keeping there eyes closed to the evidence and refusing to form an opinion of there own (rather then repeating opinions they’ve heard), while condemning me as an extreme leftist.

I sympathize with you, and I enjoyed the entire post, but this one portion struck a nerve; because the budget deficit is something that worries me.

When Bush was President, I told my Republican family members that the deficit worries me. You know what they said? "Deficits don't matter!" They said this because Dick Cheney said this. NOW...now that a Democrat is in office, they're all sorts of worried about the deficit! Hypocrites.

Also, when Bush was in office, my Democrat friends were all about my concern over the budget deficit. They agreed completely! Now that Obama is in office, the whole thing has flipped! "Deficits don't matter," because Obama said so.

Go ask Argentina, Zimbabwe, Iceland, or the former USSR if deficits matter!

So I sympathize with you. In the past several years, I've been everything from a left-wing extremist to a right-wing extremist -- without ever changing my views!

First, let me point out that if you did not vote for Obama, your a racist according to most liberals, including speaker Pelosi.

Second, in 8 months Obama has proved that he is completely unfit for the job of President of the US. In Uganda, maybe OK. He has ineptly handled every situation, but the fact that we are the USA with many outstanding people, he has only been partly exposed. He will go down in the annals of history as unfit for the job along with LBJ and Jimbob Carter.

The most worrisome aspects of our current situation is the socialist agenda and the sky rocketing deficit. Since we have no money and China is funding all our government activities, do we have to ask for their permission to respond if we are attacked? The other issue is turning the US into a socialist republic with nearly worthless money. That would surely lead to a revolution abd that is our direction if Obama has his way.

Yep .. and the current POTUS - Obama - is one of those responsible for pushing banks to give out bad mortgages.

Obama sued citibank under CRA to force it to make bad loans

Case Name
Buycks-Roberson v. Citibank Fed. Sav. Bank Fair Housing/Lending/Insurance
Docket / Court 94 C 4094 ( N.D. Ill. ) FH-IL-0011
State/Territory Illinois

Case Summary - Plaintiffs filed their class action lawsuit on July 6, 1994, alleging that Citibank had engaged in redlining practices in the Chicago metropolitan area in violation of the Equal Credit Opportunity Act (ECOA), 15 U.S.C. 1691; the Fair Housing Act, 42 U.S.C. 3601-3619; the Thirteenth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution; and 42 U.S.C. 1981, 1982. Plaintiffs alleged that the Defendant-bank rejected loan applications of minority applicants while approving loan applications filed by white applicants with similar financial characteristics and credit histories. Plaintiffs sought injunctiverelief, actual damages, and punitive damages.

U.S. District Court Judge Ruben Castillo certified the Plaintiffs’ suit as a class action on June 30, 1995. Buycks-Roberson v. Citibank Fed. Sav. Bank, 162 F.R.D. 322 (N.D. Ill. 1995). Also on June 30, Judge Castillo granted Plaintiffs’ motion to compel discovery of a sample of Defendant-bank’s loan application files. Buycks-Roberson v. Citibank Fed. Sav. Bank, 162 F.R.D. 338 (N.D. Ill. 1995).

The parties voluntarily dismissed the case on May 12, 1998, pursuant to a settlement agreement.
