Of course the Aussie one is not a new document..sigh. It is supposed to be a true copy of a bc originated in 1959. The '1' is faked on it. It was issued in 1964. In my view the Aussie one without question is a total FAKE, made to discredit anyone seeking the truth. Very effective too even in this forum.

I know the date but I was thinking that it might be a newer copy. I for one haven't seen anything that points to a fake and since we have a real living person attached to it I'm thinking it's real.

Except for the fact that we have someone that actually belongs to the austrailian bc and we have no one that belongs to the kenyan one except that fantasy of fanatical right wing nutjbags.

You may possibly have someone who relates to some details on the Aussie bc, but can you prove that that certificate is real?. What slightest shred of evidence do you have that the Aussie one is real...especially when it was apparently uploaded on the 3rd? To take the word of the man is ridiculous as he has not checked any details...and that jpg no longer exists even in the archives. So nobody, unless someone here has the archival image from 2007 or 2006 before the archives were stripped, can prove that this certificate was not altered or intentionally uploaded onto that site recently.
Incidentally, I don't believe I am a fanatical right wing 'nutjbag' whatever that is meant to mean.

Have you seen anything that unequivocally confirms its validity???? I know I have not seen a shred of verifiable proof on any BC presented in this whole affair.

Yes, but you cannot have a 'newer' copy of an original certificate. Otherwise it would not be an original certificate but something like the Hawaiian colb. That Aussie certificate was posing as a true copy of an original certificate. That original certificate would remain the same until time ended. It would not have a computer generated '1' inserted. That's not to mention the writing having been placed over the creases. Compared to the Aussie one the Kenyan one now looks very real. So the scam backfired. Unless they are both fakes. But in my mind one is definitely fake and that is the one 'found' on the Aussie site. It may well be that originally Bomford had a genuine unaltered certiificate on there which was then altered.....or not.

Well the interview with the guy whose BC it was? That kind of did it for me.

What...saying something along the lines of...'yes it's genuine, that's the address and there's my dear old mum.' No wonder people are so willing to believe anything.
Ok, if he had the original certificate or rather 'true copy' of that certificate, which he or Richard Bomford must have in order to have placed it on their site, then they should show it...preferably without the faked bits on it. Wonder why the reporter didn't ask to see it?

Rather than look back through the thread for it I uploaded it to the media center here. If you look at it, the '1' in '10th' is a modern 1 and doesn't match any of the other 1's in the document.

Well actually, what this looks like to me, is that the 1 key stuck the first time through. The typist then realized this and made every subsequent 1 with the l key.

If it were another 1 other than the first, then maybe it'd be suspect. But it seems rather rational to me. I can recall several times this has happened to me during my admin tenure in the Navy.


Not to mention, typists in these days were already accustomed to using the lower case l as a 1. So it could also have been habit.

There is no way that this insinuates forgery. Questions sure... but that's about it.

I had that thought too, but there isn't even a smudge at the bottom of it to suggest it stuck or just didn't hit hard enough. And just 10 characters later is a '1' where the typist didn't even attempt to use the same key as the first '1'. That makes me wonder if it really did stick, or if something else is going on there.
