Well I suppose you could always direct her to wikipedia.

"controversy" somewhat.
Also, you could direct her to the official Codex Alimentarius website:

through a ton of stuff there though and if she's the trust-what-people-tell-you type she might not see the material for what it is. But, who
knows?
Just do a search on Codex Alimentarius you will find plenty, I assure you.
One very important thing to remember is that this organization is a
trade organization being funded by the UN/WHO, not a health organization
and as such should have no say in regulating food, vitamins, herbs, etc...
