NOW THAT'S AN INTELLIGENT RESPONSE, as i was expecting from you!!

To be completely honest , I really don't like major portions of this bill either!

However, I absolutely can not tolerate sheep and parrots. The sheep blindly follow their leader(s) [read as: whomever's backside (whether politician, prophet, priest or conspiracy theorist) they have decided to plant their head in, so they don't have to think for themselves], and the parrots just repeat whatever they hear (without regard for fact or intelligence).

If we're going to get our Constitution and our country back, we need to squash all the idiot drivel, like the majority of the post that opened this thread. Otherwise we'll get lumped into the conspiracy freaks pile.

In other words, I expect the people of our nation to make their own decisions, based on real information, that they have examined themselves, and not "little old lady gossip" that they heard down the street. [Ladies: please excuse my usage of such an obnoxious stereotype.]

If somebody is going to oppose or support something (whether it is legislation or a politician), they should do so based upon their own examination of facts, not what their idiot neighbor expectorated on their doorstep.

Just to reiterate, I am not for this bill, I am just against the half-truths and inaccuracies in the opening post.

I'm not particularly waving a flag for the bill myself.....like you, I'm disturbed by the level and amount of full distortions, untruths, and disinformation being spread as "fact."

The word is used absolutely correctly. Problem is, you're interpreting it in the incorrect context. The body of the text and that section in particular is not establishing any governance or regulation over the creation, or possible creation, of an order for life sustaining treatment. It establishes a foundation for making those orders portable, in the event they are created. It describes a mechanism for increasing the likelihood that such orders can be transferred and understood across the spectrum of possible caregivers.

Please, go to page 424, Line 15, and read the entire section sub-titled, "Advance Care Planning Consultation." The entire section actually runs to page 431, Line 23.....that's 7 friggin' pages, and you've decided to pick out the single word "may" as justification for your distortions and half-truths. Here's a little snippet that just may *gasp* throw your entire tin-foil hat opinion into a tailspin...

effectively communicates the individual’s preferences regarding life sustaining treatment, including an indication of the treatment and care desired by the individual;

At least make the effort to understand the damned thing.....ye gads! I find the language to be quite clear.....verbose, yes....but I understand it.

This coming from the party that cares? The only ones who will benefit will be the low life's. The ones that don't care, don't work and will not go to these "forced" counseling sessions anyway.

I am glad I am still young enough to fight... The older folks in this country are screwed if this passes but then again maybe that's not so bad? Its those older folks that keep voting these same two parties / kooks into office.
