A 78-year-old Carroll woman says she's so tired of seeing President Barack Obama on the airwaves that she's selling her television sets - two of them.

Deloris Nissen, a retired nurses' aide and former Kmart employee who was raised on a farm near Audubon, placed a classified advertisement with The Daily Times Herald for Friday's paper.

In the $5.50 ad, Nissen tells readers she has two television sets for sale.

The reason: "Obama on every channel and station."

This story made me laugh out loud when I read it. Can you really blame her though? I mean, the President is all over the tv channels. newsmagazine front covers, evening comedy shows, sporting events etc.

Ugh.

When the president does appear on a channel she happens to be watching, Nissen said, she quickly turns.

"I have the remote real handy," Nissen said. "I have the batteries. I'm ready for him."

But she's not worried about any criticism.

"I'm an old lady, and I don't care," Nissen said.

Obama is proof that the revolution is futile kind of

I mean listen to him in town hall meetings

after all the bailouts, all the overspending..um, I mean stimulus packages, unmanned drones in pakistan, more power to the FED, close guantanamo but no not really, and the basic looting of the country he still gets cheers.

Everything that wouldn't be marketable for a soon to be dictator to say Pelosi says it for him.

I don't blame her though. Maybe Obama fatigue is really starting to set in.

So... this Iowan sells her TV's to escape the relatively new Obama presidency.... and she kept them during eight years of the Bush/Cheney regime????

Pretty funny story. Made me laugh as well. The lady probably got a higher price than she would have otherwise by saying this. Wisdom comes with age.

The truth is that it is pretty easy to watch TV without seeing Obama unless you tend to watch mostly news channels. If you have news channels you probably have 50 other channels as well. Creative selling is all this is.
