What you are referring to isn't even remotely the same thing. We are not talking about two clowns sitting on a stoop somewhere calling each other names, we aren't talking about knuckleheads on Xbox Live mqaking racist remarks or rednecks that you went to school with. We are talking about the president of the most powerful nation in the world. Someone who's decisions and policies effect us one and all directly. People calling each other racist names in passing is not the same thing as the fact that the leader of the free world consciously CHOSE to be an active member of an openly racist black nationalist church. He chose to make a man who is an unapologetic racist and bigot his closest advisor and the overseer of his religious practice.

I think it's the same thing....everyone grows up with racism. Everyone. Many may have said horrible things themselves and then realized their faults and how wrong they were to say those things....but others won't.

When Obama starts enslaving white people...I'll start to worry...but I find that impossible when the free world is really ran by RICH WHITE PEOPLE.

For as much as I don't like Jeremiah Wright and what he preaches....he's absolutely right when he talks about that.

Remember, it's not what you do or who you associate with when people are looking....it says a lot more about a man by looking at who he freely chose to associate with when people were not.

Maybe....maybe not.

Example:

If your father was a staunch white supremacist...would you quit talking to him completely? Would you right off your own father?

Parents are the greatest influence on the future of the country as they are the only ones that can turn the tide against a society and corporate media culture that constantly rails against peace and equality...from both the left and the right.

By the way, I know racism is a touchy issue....i'm trying not to offend people and I do apologize if I have.

I'm trying to be honest with how I feel things are.

I don't believe that either. I think that is has something to do with the fake AJ/Glenn Beck beef. I don't know what's going on with these two, but somethings doesn't seem right. I have seen GB talk about stories that I have read on prison planet almost as if he read the stories straight from the website.

Glenn has a large staff that scowers the internet for information. He definitely doesn't do it by himself...nor does Alex Jones. I haven't paid much of any attention to what that guy has done.

I watched the "Obama Deception" after it was released and it was interesting until the it got to the "Hotel Scene" with the Bilderberg meeting where he was screaming and going berzerk. After that I disregarded the whole thing.

Recently I watched it again though...and some of it really is correct. Obama being in bed with the banks and corporate power is true...it's ABSOLUTELY true. He can't do anything without them. Giving the Federal Reserve more power is absolutely insane and that really drove the whole thing home for me.

I don't know what AJ's real intentions are...but in this regard....I think he's right.

Thanks for understanding. BTW I didn't assume you were a Bush supporter, I was just making a point.

On a different note, I don't think there is anything wrong at all with making money..AT ALL, but I would like people to think again about the credibility of a so called journalist/reporter who has no college degree, he did take a Theology course at Yale, which I find interesting in itself, maybe to learn the psychology of the religious and effectively invade their thoughts. He has no experience as a producer ,news broadcaster, anchorman, cameraman, anything. He has never had to go out to the streets to gather information first hand on a story nothing but being a shock jock and yet he makes about 14 millions dollar a year. Why?? What information can be worth that much? What does he have to do for that amount of money given that his expertise level is pretty non existing unless you count his stand up, which someone in this thread actually thinks is a good quality for someone who they rely on for information. That must be it...He's just a high paid comedian!!!!!!!!!

You mean focus on actual issues? Heaven forbid ... The people want their bread and circuses. The ptb is only too happy to oblige.

No doubt!

And it's not just the Michael Jackson deal...it's local issues being shown on a national scale when they shouldn't be. National issues should be shown on national news and since it's not...the real problems get overwhelmed with utter nonsense.

The corporate media sucks.

I put more trust in those who rail against the corporate media than most anyone else...and the only one I've seen do it besides "Alex Jones" is Thom Hartmann...a liberal radio talk show host. I urge people to give him a listen if they haven't. I'm a leaning conservative/libertarian...which he often rails against....but he has some very good views on things...some of which I believe are right...especially when it comes to corporate power and lobbyist...not to mention the Federal Reserve.

Somehow how Fox News has become the "alternative" to the MSM...but they are corporate owned as well.....hell....Robert Murdoch has a stake in NBC for cripes sakes.

The whole thing is crazy when it all comes together....it took me awhile to see everything for what it is....and I understand how those who suddenly get into politics can easily be led astray in believing things that aren't true.

American people are not stupid....they are just misled and misinformed...or flat out not paying attention....but they are most certainly not stupid.

I think that's what drew people to him initially...that he wasn't a Harvard or Yale graduate...or a former lawyer....after all...those are the people running the country now who have done a terrible job...the elitest. He also talked about something being wrong...which he was right about...but now....I don't know what the hell he is doing...lol.

I bought his book "common sense." Some of the info is truthful...I didn't read the whole thing. Most of the blame he puts on Progressives.

How can one be claiming to be non political in his stance....but yet blame all of the problems of this country on liberals...which is essentially what he is doing by calling it the "progressive movement."

Thom Hartmann does the same....except he blames Conservatives. I used to think of both Hartmann and Beck as equals in some regard. Mainly because Beck was leaning towards railing against world corporate power and the federal reserve...both of which Hartmann is doing....they just pass blame politically when in reality it's been both parties that have led us down this path.

I personally think that Beck needs to soften it up a bit.

The last two shows I've watched, I had to turn off because it gets tiresome hearing all the doom and gloom.

He can get his point across without being abrasive and he should "calibrate" his words better.

However, there is evidence that Obama has racist tendencies. His own writings allude to his black awakening and he didn't go to Rev. Wright's church for so long just to hear about the love of Jesus. Wright's sermons by what we've seen are decidedly Afrocentric, for lack of a better word.

I think we all need to lighten up a bit.

Beer?

My grandmother who became a muslim because of Malcolm X, but is now a christian. She was in it because of the Black power movement and not because she believed in the religious teachings. Anyways... My grandmother raised me and she is still very much stuck in the old days. She would be nice to my white friends when they came over then when they left I was told long long long stories on how I shouldn't befriend them because they were the devil and will throw me under the bus the first chance they got. She said they were coming into our home so they could bug our phones and spy on us.

When I was to young to understand what she was talking about, I thought she was crazy. When I was old to enough to understand, I believed it and became angry towards whites ( no beat downs or anything, just thoughts and the way I treated people). When I was old enough to know better, and saw that I was no different from the racist that I claimed everyone else to be, I realized my grandmother was just stuck in the past the same way allot of older people are.

I love my grandmother never the less, besides she still can't over the fact the Movie theaters charge more the 5 cents.

My point is that people pick up behaviors good and bad from their families and environment, but it takes your own personal experiences to truly shape what you believe.

I agree...although people will say it needs to be talked about. I've strayed from Glenn Beck as well. I do watch him occasionally...but I've found myself turning it off and watching something a bit less gloomy...GO CUBBIES!!!!

At least I still have the Cubs and my Bears amidst all the chaos to keep me sane...not to mention a little one that relies on me to keep my head straight.

What I've found....I listen to Glenn Beck's radio show often at work...and immediately after his show is Thom Hartmann's....which I feel are good equalizers for each other and show both viewpoints rather well....and often..although they might not admit it...they do AGREE on things like the Federal Reserve.

Glenn should have never brought up this issue...plenty of other things to complain about....and I haven't seen the other conservative hosts stick up for him yet either like they have Limbaugh...although it's still early.

Your right, that is what people like, the same reason Sarah Palin was so popular, not to me but to others, and I agree with the concept, but somethings are just to important to go by how you feel. "I feel like Dr.whatever is a good guy, so who cares that he's not board certified, I believe that he will do a perfect open heart surgery" NO!! We all should regard the information we take into our brains as we do a Dr. performing surgery on us, but maybe that's just me.

Glenn is just a accident waiting to happen. This is your brain on.....(fill in the blank)

I know what you are saying...believe me. I grew up in Indiana...the boonies! Indiana used to have the largest membership to the KKK at one time long ago if that tells you anything. My high school....believe it or not...actually had a huge "racial" deal with what others called "Whiggers." For those who don't know what that is....it's referring to white people who act black. We had a bunch of girls who were dressing in the "Cross Colours" clothing line in our school...which by the way...this was back in the 90's. One girl got spit on and another supposedly was punched....next thing you know....all of the major Chicago News Channels were at our high school parked in front of the building. People were giving them the fingers and mooning them...ironically...that didn't make the news...lol. This is what I grew up with.

Many of the girls actually went on television talk shows like Montel Williams and Sally Jesse Rafael. Some of the things they said weren't true and the whole thing was blown out of proportion....but unfortuantely that's the world we live in.

My point is that people pick up behaviors good and bad from their families and environment, but it takes your own personal experiences to truly shape what you believe.

Absolutely. It's up to us to learn what is truly right ourselves...and to teach our children that no man/woman deserves more or less than another....whether based on color, sex, or religion.

I know with my daughter, I will try as hard as I can to teach her to not see others as any lesser of a human being than herself or any other and hope she makes a good impact on those around her.

Excuse me ...

So, are you one of those that thinks anyone that didn't or does not support obama is a racist? You don't believe that there can be political and philosophical reasons for disagreeing with obama not tied to race?

If true, give me a break, no give us all a break and take that kind of "logic" back to wherever it came from.

No, we are not doomed to be a racist country just because people disagree. But we could be doomed to be a country of fools if there are very many more people out there that agree with what seem to be your views and agenda on this subject.

It's all I heard in school...so I guess that makes me a racist too eh? Wait...I guess that makes ALL white people racist.

All of us...no matter what color we are grow up with this. So a preacher did it...how is it any different than what one could here at work, school, or on the street?

Because you take stock in what your preacher has to say. You're there to see that preacher. You return every week for that preacher.

How is that not different?

He didn't go to college? Gee, I guess that makes him an idiot! He doesn't have a degree? He doesn't know how to produce the show? What difference does it make? I went to college. I got a nursing license, then proceeded to teach myself what I needed to know.
I don't have a degree in history, but I am very interested in history and politics and have taught myself. I don't have a music degree, and I don't know how to build one, but I can play a pretty mean guitar!
In other words, what's your point. The man uses schtick to get a point across. It works. I find Beck to be rather refreshing, especially when compared to Hannity.

Im sorry i wouldnt know, because see when i heard that kind of stuff in school i didnt ASSOCIATE with that kind of people, i distanced myself from people that talked like that because it WASNT my view point ......weird how that works right?

No we didnt all grow up like this, thats pure BS......SOME of us grew up around people like that, but what did we do?

We stepped away and looked at ourselves, we rose above people like that, we didnt HANG AROUND and listen to what they said....

When I was young if I was around ANYONE that talked like that I walked away from them, I ignored them, I didnt hang around in their presence and listen to their point of view, because i knew it was WRONG.

Dont try to pull that card on me, I grew up in Texas and Tenn....I KNOW what racism is, and i KNOW what ignorance is, and the excuse for Obama hanging around for 20 yrs with a man who is so blatant about his racism and anti Americansim is B.S.

Dont try to make excuses for him, if you are around a person that long, you know their viewpoints, and if you stick around that long you are either mentally handicapped or you agree with em, they are clear in their motives! MR.Wright knows exactly what hes saying, and the message hes putting out, and so does Mr.Obama and his wife, take a look back and listen to what SHE has said, listen to what HE has said in his books.

To the rest of us who really ARENT racist, to the black, community, and the white community, it is clear....this man is a typical black community organizer with a RACIAL political agenda and NOTHING less....

Dont belive me? Ask some of the people in your community what they think.....ask the mexicans, ask the black people, ask the asian people, ask ANYONE who has been subject to racism in this country, and they will tell you he is playing the race card as far as he can!

BTW , I am a PROUD BLACK man, born and raised in the United States of America. I served in the United States Marine Corps..0321 Recon 1st Bn

As a man who has seen the depths of racism from BOTH sides, and risen above it.

This president is pulling the racism card back on America, and giving the rest of us black people a bad name..I have given more to this country than this man will EVER give, and I wouldnt disgrace us as he has!

America, racism is real and alive, and as of today's day and age, it is as directed at white folks as it WAS at black folks! Deny ignorance.....

Deny those that would divide us......this man has his own agenda, and its not about us, its not about the white man, its about power, and it doesnt matter what our skin color is, because he would crucify me just as fast as he would crucify you...

My ancestors were brought here as slaves...MY GRANDFATHER was on the TRAIL OF TEARS! Yet, time and time again, as in WWII, through our hardships we became STRONG and we fought for our freedom....

In that freedom, became a nation of black and white men and women, and asian men and women, and mexican men and women, and Native American men and women others.....and we merged together, and we sweat, and we went to war, and we BLED and we DIED together, fathers and brothers, sisters, daughters, children..

This nation is ours, no matter our heritage, no matter our blood line....we have all fought and died together...Do not let this man divide us.....

Stand beyond the party lines, rise above the hate and anger, recognize the love for your brethren that helped build this country.....

WE WILL NOT TOLERATE RACISM IN THE WHITE HOUSE! WE WILL NOT TOLERATE INTOLERANCE AND JUDGMENT ON ANY SKIN COLOR! WE WILL NOT ALLOW ANY SUPREME COURT JUSTICE TO BE PREJUDICE...

THIS WILL NOT HAPPEN..NOT IN OUR UNITED STATES OF AMERICA!

I guess if fueling racial tension in this country is his point, then yea he is getting his point across.

It is a really sad state of affairs when a "schtick" is an acceptable form of news delivery. We should demand higher standards than the sad sacks that masquerade as Journalist. Where are the credentials, what are his qualifications? Give me something that proves he knows what the hell he's talking about. Teachers need a degree in order to teach, so why not Journalist. Would you let Glenn Beck teach your children? What we are seeing are peoples personal opinions and not unbiased reporting based on facts. Depending on the host's political party, they will always skew the facts to fit their agendas.

Saying Glenn is better that Hannity, destroys all your credibility with me. Not too hard to be more "refreshing" than that piece of garbage. Tap water is more refreshing that toilet water, that doesn't mean I drink tap water.

When did Glenn Beck become relevant? He's a drugged out looney (like most of the conservative pundits) who's ranting incoherently anything his side can come up with against Obama. What I don't understand is you could nail Obama on so many things (his broken promises, the spending, the economy, the wars, the doomed health care plan, the hypocritical stance on drug policy, etc.) yet you decide to go after him on something you cannot possibly win and something that will only make you look stupid to the 90% of the country that doesn't play to the neo-conservative demographic. It's like the conservatives want to lose and look like retards in the process. I'm not an Obama fan anymore, but I really think it's stupid to accuse Obama of being racist.

There will always be some racists. Also, there will always be some who love to perpetuate the business of victimhood.

Sometimes Beck is moronic. Sometimes he's brilliant.
In this case ... he's absolutely right.

Obama's own words and actions expose him for the racist puke that he is.

Obama - "that's how white folks will do you"
Obama - "my grandmother was a typical white person"
Obama - "the cambridge police acted stupidly"
Obama - Sat in the pews of the black liberation theology cult for 20 years. He must have agreed with the garbage or he wouldn't have been able to stomach the place. Thread Here

etc etc ... Obama's wife is even worse IMHO

So? What if Obama is racist? You people actually think this guy is running his own show?

Obama is a racist, but not in the traditional sense. He doesn't hate whites, rather feels it's his duty to help minorities; that's racisim.

What does this say about the white executives who run the country?

This video clip of Obama from 2007 says it all. He clearly states that he wants ACORN to be involved in shaping his agenda for the White House. In his own words and on camera. ACORN is as crooked as they come and Obama is their mouthpiece.

Excerpts from his book with plenty of ink dedicated to talking about White people. Obama has an agenda. Bottom line. Perhaps the father he speaks of in his book is Malcolm X and not Barack Sr. Barack Sr. did not live in this country long enough to experience anything.
