Search called off in Ottawa River

Witnesses thought a plane had crashed, reported lights, feeling as if a rock had hit house, dogs barking. Police called off search, no plane reported missing. Large object found. That's it!

This is the closest I can recall anybody actually saying something like a UFO may have crashed in a populated area, within Canada. Right in the rapids in Ottawa, the nations capital! Witnesses seem to think it's odd that everybody heard a crash (loud bang) and reported seeing lights in the sky, and feeling a vibration or house shaking and yet there is no official report on what it was.

Maybe they were coming to talk to the Prime Minister?
