Widespread Taser Misuse

Hi all,

there have been many many posts on here and news stories lately about Taser Misuse.
I thought I would compile a list of just a few of those stories with links. Maybe you guys can help add these stories as they come in. I cant keep up with them!!

These are just a short few from the hundreds that are online. It seems better training is needed with some police as to when they should be used. I think definatley with violent people or people who are posing some threat, but deaf and disabled people?? come on!!

Actually, it's the training created by Taser International that tells cops to use these things all the time. When I lived in Phoenix, Arizona, I knew a guy who was a salesman for Taser International in Tempe, Arizona. All this is what he revealed to me, which is very interesting, but I never see this discussed anywhere.

The whole Taser business model is designed to sell the cartridges that Tasers use everytime they get fired/used. He told me that the Police Chiefs/Sheriffs get taken on nice golf trips/hunting trips if their department exceeds some quota set for that department. So naturally, the training that Taser and the Police Department conduct are to encourage officers to use their Tasers more and more.

I actually knew this guy before he worked for Taser, but I have since lost touch with him. He told me this stuff on several different occasions at BBQ's like it was no big deal, kind of proud of it actually. It's big business.

New version of taser. if you were worried the old generic taser was scary, just wait until this one gets in the hand of rogue police officers. I made a thread on it, but it did not get too many replies. hope your thread finds this info useful.
