WASHINGTON (AP) - U.S. planes attacked a ballistic missile system in southern Iraq today, the Pentagon said, in the first operation against Iraqi weapons that are meant to hit ground targets instead of aircraft or ships.

This is why I don't think the French and Germans have thought things out.They want all of Iraq to be no-fly zone.
