from google it's

Photographic Image Artifact
Wondering what this is? No, it's not an alien colony. It is a processing artifact in this image of the Moon, which was taken by one of the Lunar Orbiter satellites in the mid-1960s.

If you click the question marks you can see the explanation. I always thought these artifacts were on the film/paper that the images were scanned from, possibly due to aging.

Because those are the pictures of the Moon that Google bought. They probably don't own the rights to other satellite imagery of the Moon, so the ones they show are these with the film artifacts.

Yeah, they should have airbrushed them out. That would be a really good idea, wouldn't it? That would satisfy everybody.

Has anyone noticed something in the pics?

Go to Google moon
Press the zoom in and you get all the other pics.

Find this pic:

Rotate the picture round till you roughly get to this point:

Zoom in slightly and you'll see a small light in the sky. Find it and zoom in as far as you can go.

Any idea what that is? Has anyone seen it before in any other pictures?

There is also another blue light slightly further round that look like this:

Any ideas??

Don't know mate. But whats the blue light as well?

Was gonna post it in one of the main sections but I haven't got enough posts to do it yet.

yes, the blue light as well. That could be a star or planet. But yet, I don't understand why stars are not visable on the moon's sky

anyway, it took quite a while to find your "object" I almost give up.
I linked your post to my friends - they still didn't find it lol
