Entourage premiered this past Sunday since season 5 concluded. Waiting for these seasons is unbearable. Worse than any other show, for me personally. Maybe comparable to Lost, but only that comes close.

Season 5 ended with Vinny set to star in a Scorsese remake of "Gatsby".

Season 6 trailer

The first episode had a great ending and really leaves a lot in the air. They chose "The Verve - Lucky Man" as the song to close out the show and it is a personal favorite. So that certainly added to it.

Fan of the show? Thoughts?

This season has been so good. Some of the best one-liners to date have come from this season. Andrew Klein is getting on my nerves quickly but it does give the story line plenty of wiggle room and allows an element of the Miller-Gold Agency that we haven't had in the past.

I thought every episode thus far has been amazing, with the exception of the second one which was just an average half hour of television.

Tomorrow night we get to do it again.

This morning I watched the past few episodes on the OnDemand network as I had some breakfast and I've gotta say that I thought Whalberg's cameo was one of the best the show has ever had. His razzing of Drama was classic!

What the future holds for Johnny Drama... not too bright.

Next week's episode is called "No More Drama!"

He's not an actor and his cameo in the show wasn't intended to be acting. He was appearing as himself and I thought it came across as completely natural.

I'm mixed about the new season. I'm loving the Andrew Klein/Marlo Klein stuff because the characters are named after friends of mine so every time Ari yells at Andrew, calls him names or Marlo freaks out like a loon (last episode was classic), I'm loving the moment.

Turtle in school is a bit odd but his still being with Jamie Lynn is ridiculous. Vince has become secondary to everyone else, it seems, as they've all become self sufficient to some degree and that takes away from the fun of the show. Eric goes from extremely annoying to extremely wimpy but that should change next week with the addition of a new character, Scott Lavin, played by Scott Caan. Scott Lavin is another friend of mine and the character in the show is going to mock him to no end. Apparently, he plays a cocky and highly competitive manager who acts tough and trash talks to cover up how insecure he is. the real Scott Lavin is not looking forward to the trashing.

The most recent episode looked like it might be turning us back towards all the things that made the show great. It isn't bad now but it is nowhere near as good as it had been.

As much as I love the show, it's becoming clear that some of the characters are running their course. The only character that hasn't become tiresome whatsoever is Ari. His on-screen interactions with Loyd are still making for some of the best moments of the show. And yeah, without the boys being so dependent on him it does take away from the show a bit.

Still a lot of untapped greatness for the show though.

agreed. last night I was out for drinks with Andrew Klein and Scott Lavin (the new character) and we were talking about the show. one of them agreed that it was getting a little stale with regards to the characters but we all agreed that the dialogue is still very sharp and very funny.
