It's just been reported that Australia will be one of the very 1st countries to go ahead with mass Swine Flu vaccination of it's populace ... with over 21 million doses having been ordered. These doses will allow the entire nation to be given either a single dose or half the nation to be given a double dose.

Now I'd like to get a feel from other Australians (ONLY !) as to whether they are comfortable with this government initiative and will accept the vaccination ... or whether they will refuse it.

If you do respond with an ACCEPT or REFUSE, please also mention which State you live in (NO other details, to satisfy ATS privacy regs)

I'll start off with .... REFUSE (South Australia)

Well considering I do not have any heart or respiratory illness' like all of the people that died from the swine flu, then no....I dont need it.

If I had chronic medical issues that gave me more chance of dying from swine flu, then I probably would take the vaccination.

Remember, swine flu isnt fatal unless you are in a high risk category, and its not essential to be vaccinated unless you really need it

Oops, forgot this

Woomera, South Australia

Could you please mention your State ... I'm hoping that we'll get a rough feel for how each State will react. Perhaps it will show some States being more pro towards vaccination then others.

I will refuse. I for one am with the belief that if you dont have it you dont need it.
Can you provide a link as to where this was reported, as I have seen nothing in the news about it here?

You forgot the one "ACCEPT" from Victoria

Thought I should let you know

REFUSE!!

I live in Melbourne, VIC

Definitely won't be taking it...

I don't see any reason why I should be taking it.

People die of the normal flu all the time, and they die of millions and millions of other diseases too...so whats the point ?

I haven't had any type of vaccination since I was like 10 years old...and i'm not dead yet.

Sorry, I am a kiwi, but we don't accept orders from anyone, so I am saying NO, PLEASE DON'T!

A few of my family had H1N1, and they all came through.

Sometimes vaccinations cause more trouble than they prevent.

I won't be taking it, as well as all my close friends.
And to be honest even if I had a chronic illness that would cause a high death rate when infected with swine flu, I would still refuse, just to give you an idea on how strongly I believe in my choice.

LOL at IntastellaBurst

Its the "new" vaccination there working on so its defiantly a NO!! from me.

Since the WHO Declared the "New flu unstoppable", they are rushing the vaccine through and not running all the safety checks on it.

NSW says NO!
