Well , i do not want to totally humiliate our (Israeli) navy, but it is by far not strongest branch of our military. We have 3 relatively modern subs, and 3 relatively modern corvettes. Rest are missile/patrol boats.
How this "formidable" force will face Iranian navy ,which is a lot stronger, is a big question. Not to mention striking at Iranian nuclear sites at the same time. If Israel would attack, it would be a combined operation, me thinks. Involving all branches with navy having its, not most important, part.
