honestly its not guarded at all... just a lid in the ground raised about 3/4 of a metre

Well I can't bring out anything in the sign so far, the plane sort of looks like an old MIG 21 Fishbed
See Here

The road marking in the first picture looks like Britain but do other countries have markings like that?

those pictures really look like what was previously RAF manston, now sold off and known as first London/manston airport and now as Plane station.
I could be mistaken but the first picture looks like something that is out side of the spitfire museum.
I'll have to drive through there to see this afternoon.
I'm wondering if this is the place that you found your bunker, I know that a friend of mine found some tunnels around there years ago, there are rumoured to be quite a few bunkers etc under there, but not likely to be in use because it's no longer a military base.

In your first thread, you said that the very next day the lid was cemented closed

This looks like nothing more than a decommissioned base that now may be a public airport or museum of sorts. There is nothing at all to support the original claims of this thread. If it is a former base, they may indeed have had some underground bunkers. Based on the prior thread though it doesn't sound like they housed missles but rather may have been designed to protect personnel. This thread is just an overactive imagination.

Happyk, Why was a second thread started on this. You should have just posted on your original thread.

The plane is an English Electric Lightning. I have a feeling there is one outside a BAe factory, maybe another at an RAF base, and definitely several at museums around the UK

And that SAM is definitely just on display. They would be Rapiers if it was UK.

Oh please! You getiing into a military base! Thats not gaurded! You probably got these pictures from somewhere off the internet

I think the photos that have been posted are not of this apparent underground base. Through reading the threads I think they are the ones that were taken from the notice board at the underground place

I think these pictures are from the NATO aircraft museum

Note the wire round the aircraft to stop people touching it. And then compare to www.thunder-and-lightnings.co.uk...

(i do realise they look slightly different. I'm not saying they vare the same aircraft.)

English Electric Lightning F.1 (XG329) at the Norfolk and Suffolk Aviation Museum is one of only two pre-production Lightnings to survive in the UK - the other is at Cosford and is shown above.

Look, the hangar is he same, the aircraft is and so are the poles holding the rope. Dream on HappyK.

You keep on talking about a notice board happyk. Why don't you give us the link to the notice board? Suposedly this is where all the images are at. I still believe you happyk, just show some pictures.

I think Happyk means a real noticeboard that you can touch in the underground facility rather than one is cyberspace

If I am right in thinking no pictures were taken of the actual place

The title is a bit misleading
