Light accelerating with incredible speed in the night sky

NOTE: IT WAS NOT ME WHO HAD THIS ENCOUNTER.
I was asked to publish this for someone who didn't want to register to this site.

Yesterday night I have seen something really strange, I am not going to say that it was some kind of UFO, but I still cant explain what it was.

I went to bed, my bed is directly under a window in the roof. I wasnt tired at all so I watched stars, the sky was clear and the stars were very visible that night. A little star drew my attention which was near the cassiopeia. After about looking five seconds at it out of nowhere the ''star'' accelerated to incredible speed and it flew across the sky. After three to four seconds of flight it instantly stopped as quickly as it accelerated, it never moved again. I was like HOLY #?

* There were no sounds of typical aircraft jet engines ( no sounds at all)
* No plane in the world can accelerate and stop that instantly.
* No aircraft can reach such speed, I guess it was at least 10 times faster than a typical jet
* There were no blinking lights like jets have
* What aircraft is bright illuminated like a star?
* It didnt leave jet engine exhaust trails
* It was still too slow for a falling star ( I have seen many of them before) and it did not disappear, it also didnt have a tail. It was also fixed in the sky before it started to ''fly''. Falling stars arent visible that long too.
* Humans in a aircraft accelerating to such speed and stopping instantly would crush the passangers into pieces
* I was awake and I did not drink any alcohol that night.
* It looked exactly like the surrounding stars, a white tiny globe. Maybe it was a tad brighter.

From the looks it must have been very high altitude.

What the hell did I see? No weather ballon and no swamp gas for sure!

He also told me that:
- this happened around 3 o'clock last night in Austria.
- He didn't manage to take any photography or video.
- He said that he observed the light for hours until it faded away during sunset.

Any thoughts?

He said that it looked similar, but the light he saw was moving much faster and stopped flying instantly.
The one in the video keeps flying without stopping.

I have heard of UFO's that are "camouflaged" to look like stars.

Of course any reflective object will look like its glowing in space simply because the sun is always shinning on it.(Unless is in earths shadow of course.)

The speed on the other hand is harder to explain. Unless it's an experimental vehicle of some sort it may be a real ET UFO sighting.

This is becoming increasingly common all throughout the world apparently. I have seen the 'stars' too. They disguise themselves in as stars or a star in a constellation then move out at unreal speeds, then stop on a dime at another position. I have seen one last month myself. I have no idea, I would probably say it is a true unknown and UFO. This is something that while going on for a while as only recently picked up in activity. So someone might be getting careless.... We are in the middle of another UFO Wave so we will see what happens I guess.


I have a feeling quite a few 'stars' might not be stars. But I can't say for certain what they are, no one can prove anything right now. I personally think they are either government craft or ET craft, probably the later or a combo of both.

I am not crazy after all. Just flamed within ATS by less observant or less perceptive... I guess i will survive that for now. Bad thing i am sensitive and easily get down by the heavy language many around here utilise...

Ive seen something very similar myself, although it wasnt travelling super fast but while i was watching it through my binocs at night it suddenly stopped and stayed put. Theres so much activity going on high up and its there for all to see.

It must really hack nasa off that they cannot stop this from being observed and im suprised this hasnt been picked up by the media to be honest as its the best chance of getting an answer from nasa along disclosure lines as they cannot defend them or explain them away, plus EVERYONE can see them.

Ok I saw one too, less than an two hours ago, I was out with the dogs for there late night pee. I saw this really bright yellow/white star like object dash across the skyline. I really don't think it was a lantern it was the wrong colour and size.
There was no sound from this light it disappeared behind a cloud then re emereged the other side. Then it went behind another cloud and disappeared altogether. It was moving at quite a pace.

I am sorry to hear that, do not let anything anyone does to you (especially online) get to you like that. I realize many take ATS serious, as well the study of ufology, but always remember that you are another human being like anyone else, if people do not believe you or say something nasty to you just forget them and move one my friend.

Glad to know, i'm not the only one in the world that has seen a star break formation and fly

I made a point of sitting out for a little while this evening as there is almost no cloud cover here in the UK, Worcestershire.
I watched several lights which could easily be explained as aircraft: I had to strain to listen but their engines could just about be heard.
However, while watching one particular light which had a speed faster than a conventional aircraft and a light easily as bright as any star in the sky (including Jupiter, which was visible to the East/SE) it just suddenly wasn`t there any more.
There was no sound, I`d followed the apparently straight trajectory from north to south and there was no cloud for it to go behind - it was almost as if whatever it was - it was just suddenly switched off. Bizarre

Well if this many different people from different parts of the planet are seeing this I mean it is quite obvious something is going on then. I live in Tennessee and saw this, as did one of my friends 50 miles away. Other people are seeing it over in Europe and I would bet everywhere else too. If I could get access to a large telescope I bet that would be an interesting site..

Apparently there are many more people seeing the same thing...

Yeah a telescope is a great thing to have and would never let you down bored. Would definitelly keep me a few hours more away from ATS...

Bad thing is that the bertter 12'' & 14'' ones go for a pricetag i cannot afford in the immediate future and being a perfectionist i won't easily settle for a smaller one. In everycase the night sky is a real wonder!

Same here, I saw one next to the "Big dipper", through my window.

The second I thought;
"Wtf, havent seen that one there before" It started to move!

It moved in circles, clockwise, spinning around "Dubhe" (name of the star),

And after 20 or so spins it flew off into the star...

I was like

The day after, at the same time.
I returned to the window and looked to the dipper again, and thought;
"Did that really happen yesterday.. Can you show yourself again?"

And a bright white flash showed itself, in the middle of the "dipper", like someone shining a flashlight at me, for about 0,01 sec ..

I was like, "Thank you! Thank you!.. *Bowed* See you in time"

The 'stars' we see are not really stars but something else... close by

That would explain why you can't see any from the moon. They are all just dust and debris in Earth orbut

very cool! the same kinda thing happened to me and an uncle a few weeks back,

we were up visiting a family member and we had been talking about ufo's and the like basically all night and as we were driving home we got to a set of traffic lights and i sait to go the other way down the country road, now as we had been talking all night i was kinda hoping for something to happen!

so we were going down the country road and my uncle who has had a few encounters was talkin about how "you never see something when your looking for it" but i couldnt stop looking out all the car windows left, right, sunroof then to the left i seen 2 big stars and thought "i dont remember 2 big stars so close together" and one had a sort of "green" tinge? and said to my uncle to look!

so we pulled over and i kid you not this "star" in a split second dropped about 1000ft then shot back up and as it was reaching the clouds it fizzled out and dissappeared?

as it was "switching" the illumination off we could make out a sort of oval metallicy craft?

now i couldnt stop laughing as we were just saying you never see them when your looking for them and we were speaking about all things ET all night it was almost as if they were listening to us and they thought (oh is that right) we'll show them and did this amazing act. well amazing to me anyway.

and these people who say there is no such thing well when something like this happens and they still debunk it they will NEVER believe even if they get abducted

how u said the next night u asked if it really happened and u saw a flash, well i dunno how but i think whatever it is be it ET or goverment they seem to be listening?

I saw something similar, as a kid, about 15 years ago. 3 'satellites' moving together, at the same speed, in almost a straight line. They then stopped dead, one after the other, to form a triangle.

I don't know why I didn't keep watching... Guess as a kid you don't really think about it much.
